Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited for lunch many times but was concerned about some of the recent not-so-good trip advisor reviews. This was not our experience and we found the Eels Foot as good as even. Good beer and food, friendly staff, good atmosphere and the Landlord could not have been more welcoming. It’s definitely still on our list of places to go.

On New Years day we booked a night, by phone, at Eels Foot Inn for the next day. We were told we could book in at 1pm if we wanted. The room was clean, comfy and spacious. After a busy afternoon and wash and brush up we wandered to the bar/restaurant with our dog. We were promptly served and our food arrived and looked wonderful. Breakfast choice the next morning was varied and beautifully presented. The most noticeable fact was that all we ate was tasty, satisfying and piping hot. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only 'down' factor was the sausage on my husbands' plate. It was very hard on the surface and hard to cut. Feeble, I know, but at least the dog was happy! Looking forward to returning...

We really enjoyed the food served in the pub - so much so that we ate there 3 evenings running. Service was very prompt and the food tasted freshly prepared. The menu was varied and included vegetarian and vegan options. The Adnams beer was good too.

A fantastic place to stay, a fantastic play to eat! Highly recommend staying at this lovely place, so quiet, rooms so comfortable, staff are superb, cant speak highly enough of it. Kevin is the star , his constant fun personality makes things tick. All the staff like spencer, James, Rosie and co are a joy to see. Food is so good and big portions for the price too.

One of the best short stays I have had. Inn staff were very friendly, relaxed and the food was good quality. The location is gorgeous, the cycle rides to Minsmere, Dunwich, Warbleswick are just wonderful. The swimming was great. Last but not least this Inn has great beer!

We visited this lovely inn for our meals frequently while staying in a nearby holiday cottage last week and were never disappointed with the service from the helpful and cheerful staff nor with the food that we chose from the menu. The garden is very large and spacious, so excellent for us to find a spot where our large dog would be able to spread out without being in anyone’s way. Plenty of room for children to tire themselves out too. The popularity of this inn is proof alone of how good it is as it is nicely tucked away on a peaceful country lane and you have to divert from the main road to find it. Well worth leaving the beaten track for!

We stayed in the wonderful Eels Foot Inn for the weekend. It was very comfortable and handy for exploring this corner of south east Suffolk. We dined in the Eels Foot each evening and started the day with their hearty breakfast.

Very nice!! Good proper pub grub! Reasonably priced for the area. Not expecting miracles. Nice to see game on a menu. And it’s in an excellent setting! Will happily come back and I hope todo so soon! As well as the excellent food, the rooms are a comfort after a long day!
