It's always difficult staying away from home for work purposes. But Mags Ken and the crew at The Ship, made me very welcome. Good food, great selection of Ales, make this place an oasis.Comfy warm room. Will be back.

Me and my partner took a punt on this place haven never been there before and didn’t read any reviews first, I have to say the after 5mins of arriving we felt so relaxed ( the free pint helped ) the management and staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble and they seemed genuinely interested in us we didn’t feel like we were just another punter, We were shown to our rather spacious chalet in there quiet garden which again was full of surprises a birthday cake and wine was put in there for my birthday. We decided to eat there that night and we are glad we did we managed three courses and I have to say there steak was spot on. I will definitely be going back

Our fifth and longest stay at the Ship Inn. This time we paid extra for the very comfortable family room with a huge bed and plenty of space for their crate, which for a couple and two spaniels was excellent for staying the week. We loved eating breakfast on the picnic table outside the room and enjoying the birds and the magnificent views across the fields even in October. Visits to beaches at Felixstowe (twice) and Southwold, along (and in) the river at Woodbridge, hunting UFOs in nearby woods and two trips just up the road to Snape Maltings. The perfect base for exploring Suffolk, Plus continental breakfast provided and two delicious meals in the dog-friendly covid-secure pub. Everybody made us very welcome and we will be back again soon.

This is a wonderful old-style Suffolk pub. They have excellent beer, Green Jack 'Jackalope' is gorgeous and food. The superb Malaysian rendang was a real treat. Famous local music venue as well. What's not to like!
