Stayed overnight in room for 2 plus dog on a Saturday and the Inn was packed from 5:30 onwards. Clearly popular with the locals and with enough musical events scheduled to sink a ship, this remote little watering hole is alive and kicking. Dog was allowed to sit with us in the bar whilst we met up with friends and...

This review is for the pub restaurant only. We waited for some time on arrival before we were acknowledged. Once seated the service was OK. We ordered a starter, which was rather heavy and processed. The main meals were disappointing. Steak and mushroom pie was possibly re-heated in the microwave and pastry completely soggy. Vegetables were over cooked. Possibly too...

Pleasant little country pub with a main bar and, what they call, the restaurant. The food is quite good, and is reasonably priced. There were three beers on when we visited - nothing spectacular, just the standard Adnams and Woodfordes. They were ok though. The evening musical entertainment was very good, and I would return purely for that. However, the...

Very nice country pub although a bit quite at 1600hrs.Nice range of beers and also dog friendly in the bar area. It has a restaurant section with a wood burner in the fireplace, very convivial. Rustic comes to mind and has pictures of local life. I don't know what the food is like but will try it sooner than later...

Me and my family rented out the cabins for two nights. The first night we stayed for a prewedding dinner and the second night our guests stayed as there wasn't space for them to stay at the wedding venue with us. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, by most of all they were friendly and seemed to really want...

We visited this pub in October 2014 for our first trip. It was very cosy, with log fire and a charming petite young lady on the bar. Food and drinks were excellent. However, we went again in October 2015 and standards had slipped. Not so cosy, management and staff arguing over telephones not working etc and food was average. We...

This is a lovely quiet pub in the hamlet of Blaxhall in a quiet corner of Suffolk. I was working down the road at Snape Maltings and made a return visit to The Ship for dinner. I ordered before they started food at 5.50pm and enjoyed a delicious chicken and mushroom pie and chips with a tasty gravy. The pint...

Spent two nights nights staying at The Ship, although the rooms are a little on the basic side they are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but once your food was delivered the staff disappeared, would be nice if they were in sight when you want more coffee etc.... Good menu choice for your evening meal which was very...

We stayed for 1 night after attending a wedding nearby. The staff were very accommodating especially as we were arriving late at night. Just what we needed after a long day and breakfast in the pub was lovely.
