Had Sunday lunch here 2 weeks after reopening after refurbishment. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet. Food was good as was the service. Loved the overall atmosphere with beautiful thought out furnishings and great colour schemes. The only thing that lets it down are the hopeless hand driers in ladies room (rubbish).

Had a midweek lunch here and it was fairly quiet. Service was average Food was very good, good sized portion. I like the new Restaurant refurbishment , very bright and airy . We couldn't park on the car park outside but parked further up the road. Will visit again

Couldn't fault the Greswolde! Throughly enjoyed everything about the stay. It was peaceful from beginning to end! Great job the team are doing! The atmosphere in the bar area was brilliant at the weekend. Bar staff were also very attentive and working very hard. Also a great location for shopping and canal walks.

Some friends and I had booked in the Greswolde a long time ago to meet up for a reunion on 12th November - I was then unceremoniously dumped by them two weeks ago - and my friend was cancelled by email this week, just 7 days before the booking! No-one at the hotel cares less - it is all about... More

My wife and I met with some friends from different corners of the country for lunch at this hotel. Whereas the food seemed nice enough, unfortunately 3 members of the party, all from different parts of the country, fell ill within 24hrs. All 3 had the chicken and chorizo skewers. The only three to have them and all three were... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the cost of £180. We were not told they were shutting for refurbishment on the Sunday we were leaving. The gym was shut due to the refurbishment, one reason we booked there. Hideous tiny dark room, window covered by a tree. Both of our twin beds legs were broken, I informed an employee and... More

We got a really great price on this hotel when staying locally for a wedding; just £45 for a Sunday night stay. Excellent value for money. The pub itself is warm and inviting, with a nice homely atmosphere. The reception area is softly lit and welcoming. Staff were helpful and friendly. Free parking with a display ticket provided at reception.... More

Hotel is about to be refurbished and desperately needs it but we were charged a whacking £125 for a Saturday night room only. We paid for breakfast and wished we hadn't a limited selection of tea all fruit or decaffeinated no breakfast tea and the one girl serving wasn't present much as she was also doing the checking out. my... Stayed in October , just before a " major " refurbishment which is desperately needed. However, if their attitude doesn't change the fresh look will be wasted The gym closed at the end of October - we weren't told The shower was tepid at best and hardly any pressure - they didn't do anything about it when asked The coffee... This is a lovely olde worlde looking hotel which is actually quite modern inside. Our room was big and reasonably quiet, the breakfast was good, the car park nice and near and the wifi worked. The ground floor restaurant/bar was very busy at night but that did not affect our sleep quality.
