We were a group of 15 children (9-11) and 11 adults. The John Knox Centre was absolutely perfect for us. It's a 12-15 minute walk to the UN Palais des Nations where we were working. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They all, without exception, went out of their way to look after us. And they were very patient...

A bit like college; friendly atmosphere, people to talk to (particularly if you can speak a little french), basic nutritious meals. Most rooms have a basin only; can be a bit of a walk to the bathroom. Very convenient to WHO and other institutions.

I was suppose to travel first time to Geneva with my friend. Was super excited. I was offered double occupancy accommodation. It is mandatory to book the Hotel for Visa purpose so the prior payment was made. My friend had left before me has he was on Business trip and i was suppose to join him later being a traveler...

I stayed in a "studio" in Centre John Knox for three weeks upon my move-in to the city. I hope my experience shall dissuade at least one person from considering a stay here. It is obvious even before staying at the center that Centre John Knox is aiming for the cheaper end of the market, and it is indeed less...

The only upside: The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean. Apart from that: The rooms are ridicously small and not very well constructed. There is always one piece of furniture to hurt your foot/head. Pursuant to the house rules it is forbidden to eat in the room. But, the downstairs picnic room is a joke - dark, smelly, no kitchen,...

John Know Centre is very near to the Palais des Nations, so if you are interning with the UN, then this is the perfect place to stay. It is located in a very peaceful area of Geneva and not many people live nearby. The Centre itself has a nice garden while there are some farm areas around it. The surroundings...

I would only recommend staying here if you are working or visiting one of the UN orgs. It is a very short walk to WHO and buses to the city center. Cons: - paper-thin walls (you'll hear everything happening in adjacent rooms) - unreliable internet connection - poorly ventilated bathrooms - kitchen staff only speak French, so it can be...

Stayed here for two weeks, got a room with attached bathrooms, other rooms without attached bathrooms were cheaper. My office was UN, to the walk to UN office from here was very pleasant. Free breakfast was okay, very average, but since it was free, no complaints. Dinner food was very good, the cook, one lady I forget her name makes...

When you stay here, you get rooms with the bare minimum. No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom (if you are lucky enough to get a room with it's own bathroom). The breakfast quality has deteriorated further since my last stay. No more croissants during the week. Impossible to get breakfast before 8 AM on a Sunday. Nobody cares...
