Experience the history of the early pastoralists in these beautifully restored stone cottages. Peace and comfort beckons at the end of the day exploring Flinders Chase National Park, situated within walking distance of the Visitor Centre and the Chase Café. Choose from two bedroom May’s Homestead, built in the 1890’s or Postman’s Cottage, built for the visiting mailman. Relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife. Take a walk before sunset or sunrise to the Platypus waterholes lookout, where you might be fortunate to glimpse this elusive creature.

Hello speakout1 As a Heritage Accommodation within a National Park we try to maintain a realistic representation of what the early settlers experienced. The secluded feel for our accommodations are the very factor that draws many people to the Park. Whilst we appreciate that this is not for everybody's taste, we do try to inform all visitors who stay with us about the facilities that we offer. We get many reviews telling us that they love the isolation and the feeling of being immersed in nature that the accommodation brings. The log fires in our accommodations can give a rustic feel to the cottage. Whilst we appreciate the isolation can be unsettling to some, we have never had a security issue.

Amazing place to stay in the np. One small room which is rather crowded, with a double bed bunk bed, single bed, table and chairs and a kitchen area. I was glad there were only 2 of us staying. The toilet and shower are in a separate building (thankfully it didn't rain when we

"Nice place to chill out, with no tv and minimal internet coverage, but that's why we chose to stay there"
"Stay in accommodation accessed via sealed roads within the Park like Mays Cottage or Postmans Cottage as unsealed roads in v. bad repair"
"The bedding could accommodate four people which would be quite cozy, so make sure you all get along!"
"If you need space for more than 2 adults, book May's cottage.... if you are a very tall person, the bed in the Postman's cottage might be too small for you... we are 1m70 and loved it."
"You need to be self sufficient as far as food is concerned."
