Our stay at this lovely hotel exceeded all expectations. The personal and friendly service was faultless, nothing was too much trouble and everything we needed was provided in such a polite and understated way. The location, near the Bruichladdich Distillery was literally a stone's throw from the front door, looking out across the water to Bowmore. Calm, quiet and idyllic.... More

Loved this B&B, Peter and Jan were so helpful with restaurant recommendations, reservations, taxi's you name it they helped us! breakfast was great. The views from the hotel to the see where so pretty. A short 2 mile walk to the nearest town which on a summers evening was a very pleasant stroll. Rooms furnished and equipped very well.

Excellent B&B of hotel standard and more. Our room was spacious and comfortable and with a lovely view. Hosts Paul and Joan were extremely friendly and helpful, breakfasts were delicious, lovely quiet location and right next door to Bruachladdich distillery! Port Charlotte eating recommendations from hosts were fantastic. Thoroughly recommended.

We spent Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 July at this super B&B. Our room was beautiful looking over towards Bowmore. All creature comforts were provided ! Our hosts could not have been more helpful providing excellent advice on all aspects of our visit to Islay. We ate on their advice at Yan's Kitchen on the Thursday night and had a... More

Absolutely fantastic B&B. Location spot on. Room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was tasty and very good choice of hot items and cold ones too. Joan and Paul both very helpful and friendly with any questions we had. We will recommend to anyone wanting to visit Islay - thank you!

Fantastic location Hosts brilliant very accommodating and friendly Rooms very spacious, view over the bay extremely relaxing, bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. This hotel is beside Bruichladdich distillery...handy when trying samples! The breakfast menu catered for everyone and tasted amazing...still craving for the breakfasts! Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Lovely place. Looks like a small hotel, and I think they did use to serve evenings meals, but now it's just B&B. But there's actually no 'just' about it. Parking across the main (but actually very quiet!) road from the hotel, we were greeted at reception by Paul, the owner. Helped us with bags, showed us and our friends to... More

Great location, excellent service, clean, modern, great shower, quiet and private. All things good in a hotel. We enjoyed this part of the island too...away from the popular distillery run - however there is a distillery next door. The circular route around the end of the island past Port Charlotte is very scenic. Lovely old roads lead to the point... More

Beautiful location, lovely accommodation and exquisite food - what more can I say ? As the place is up for sale opportunities for visiting may soon be gone - that will be a terrible shame. We stayed here for two nights and would happily have stayed much longer.
