We stayed at this hotel from 1st to 15th Sept this year 2020, we had a lovely room overlooking the pool on the 1st floor. The Manager Christos was so helpful in every way from printing off documents for our return, to taking us to book the funtrain at the kiosk at the beach and providing information on the resort. Unfortunately he wasn't able to open the pool bar due to covid-19 restricts but he had every thing in place so you felt safe there, plus it had free Wi-Fi, everywhere was clean, there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool which got the sun all day
We stayed B & B for 2 weeks but some had breakfast there which they were able to book from the menu he supplied.
Thank you Christo for a very enjoyable stay room 34

We had a wonderful stay at the Nireas Hotel. The manager, Christos, was very helpful and made lots of accommodations to help my elderly father stay in a ground floor room.
The rooms are quaint and have air conditioning, refrigerators, and a small kitchen area.
What makes the hotel memorable is its patio, however. The pool is huge and has a fenced-off kids area in the shallow section. Lounge chairs are comfortable and there is a fully stocked bar.
We drove to the area with a car from Heraklion and wanted someplace outside of Hania where we could park and easily access the downtown. This worked great for us. There is a bus stop down the hill. Wait for bus #15, which will take you right to the Venetian Harbor.
Highly recommended.

After reading the reviews I realised they were very mixed and kept an open mind when coming to this hotel, as it wasn't the one we had originally booked on 2020!! But on arrival I knew we were going to enjoy it!

The rooms are very clean and have everything you would need for you stay, they cleaned daily except on Sundays. Beds are ok, I would recommend asking for an extra pillow though as they are fairly small!

Pool is a very decent size, steps leading into it and a ladder - steps are made out of little pebbles so bare that in mind is using! Plenty of sunbeds, didn't have to get up early to claim any.

We stayed bed and breakfast and unfortunately the only thing that let it down was the breakfast, very small selection and most of the time it was just us getting it, so maybe they don't have many others take up the offer so don't put too much on - but we always found something to have. Would have liked more fruit options to go with the Greek yoghurt.

It's in a really lovely location, not too far from Chania with good bus routes. It is on a slight, steep hill but that's just something to bare in mind when booking if you struggle.

All in all we had a lovely time spent here! Thank you, Nireas!!

This hotel was by far one of the 3* hotels we’ve stayed in Crete. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds so comfortable. Rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday and each day there there was a beautiful towel display on our beds shaped as hearts and swans and fresh petals on, something we have only experienced in 5* hotels. Christos was so helpful and informative and offered us some fresh fruit on our 1st morning there. The pool and gardens are immaculate and never had to worry about a sun bed as there were always plenty available. We had a 1 bed apartment on the ground floor with a patio of about 20 feet long with table and chairs. My mum who is 92 had her own very comfortable bed in a separate partitioned area. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and 2 lovely beaches with places to eat next to them. Dimitris and Stakis taverna was our favourite great choice of food and cocktails. The golden bay hotel and restaurant open to none guests had a great choice of snacks and I would highly recommend the Baileys, Kalua and ice cream shake. We will definitely be booking to return to the Nireas next year.

The accommodation in Nireas Hotel, we liked very much thanks to the hosts Christos and his wife, who were very attentive to us, helped us to rent a car, with the transport to the airport, even printed out our tickets, they always asked us how we were and if we needed anything.
For breakfast, they prepared very good things in addition to the classic dishes you can find for breakfast, such as very good pizza with local cheese + olive oil + tomatoes + spices, puff pastry / rolls with cheese, bruschettas with olive oil and cheese. And 2-3 sweet things every morning: orange tart = Portokalopita😍, banana bread, vanilla and chocolate cake, orange cake.
Excellent accommodation, large room with very well equipped kitchenette , big bed with double size mattress, air conditioning. Got used to our big room and were disappointed to return to our small and crowded apartment :) . It's a chic hotel on the outside as well, with an amazing pool (1.4-3 meters deep).
They have a German shepherd dog- Nazia, the most gentle and well behaved dog I've ever seen, even my boyfriend who has a dog phobia, adored her !!!

Stayed here as a family in August 2022. Myself, Partner and son in Apt 19 and my Mother in Studio 14.

On arrival the transfer dumps you out on the main road, which is a bit disconcerting, but the Hotel itself is set back up a small (but steep!) hill and you would never imagine the hustle and bustle just a couple of minutes away, when you are lounging by the pool.

The hotel is small, friendly and spotlessly clean. Christos and Artemis are wonderful hosts, always ready to assist with advice and information, but not fussing over you if you want to be left alone.

The rooms were lovely, recently refurbished and some of the comfiest beds I have experienced in our Greek wanderings. Serviced every day except Sunday, they were also very clean.

Balconies looked out over the pool, and as we were tucked away in the corner, the garden area too.

Pool was also very clean, and generously sized for a hotel of this size. One depth throughout, around 4 1/2 ft. Theres also a children's pool.

We had the B&B option. Never many about when we went down to eat but we are late risers, and there was always plenty to eat. Artemis's orange pie was divine!

It's very quiet on a night, there's a small pool bar, and Timon, the night Manager is always ready to entertain and serve cocktails if you wish, but it doesn't feel like that kind of hotel and it was usually very quiet once the pool closed around 8pm. One small point, there were no price lists for drinks, and it was easy for one round before dinner (with two non-alcoholic options) to be over 20 Euros.

There is a Hotel Dog, the delightful Nazia, who would follow at Christos heels like a shadow. She was very friendly and enjoyed a fuss if you like dogs, but never approached guests unless they called her.

It's a 10 minute stroll to some very nice beaches (we used "My Beach") and 5mins walk to some excellent restaurants (Orexia and Demitris & Sakis were our regular haunts - and the goat milk ice cream parlour!)

Chania is glorious, and only a 10 minute bus ride away, for 1.10€ each way, air-conditioned buses run every 10 mins.

An excellent base for touring the area. Christos helped us book a car, and we enjoyed visiting the botanical Gardens at his suggestion, along with the ruins of Aptera. We visited Heraklion for the museum and Knossos but it was a good 2 1/2 drive.

Excellent family focused base. Would definitely return.

Stayed at the hotel in September. Manager was helpful and friendly however the standard of the rooms were disappointing. We are not ones to complain but we felt we had to this time. The electrics kept tripping every morning. We had to turn the water off in the bathroom as it was leaking. We reported this to the manager who advised that the electric hob needed replacing but cost to much. As for the hotel bar.. There was never anyone serving and the atmosphere was dead. Unfortunately we would not stop here again. Also the WiFi was turned off the day before we was due to leave.

This was the best holiday I’ve had!! We stayed at the Nireas Hotel and Christos the hotel manager was AMAZING!! He works so hard and always helps when he can! All the staff were so polite and even if they didn’t speak English always smiled at you. I’m booking for next year 100%.

The pool was so clean and there wasn’t a rush for the sunbeds!

The breakfast was sooooo good a nice small selection and fresh that day!

The rooms were clean and everything you need in a hotel room to be honest!

The beach is only 10 minute walk down the hill and there are so many restaurants in walking distance.

It’s so quite at night because the hotel is off the main round which is ideal. There is a cockrell nearby but unless your a really light sleeper there’s nothing to worry about!

Nice little complex. Very modern. I upgraded to apartment when I got there. Only cost an extra €70, for week, as opposed to £100 a night on booking, what I usually do, always cheaper. Lovely apartment, very modern and super clean. All you need including toaster and microwave. Pool is good but sore on getting in! The steps are pebbled, ouch! No pool bar, I had their last beer when I arrived and never saw it open again.
Staff were all very helpful, manager even offered to take us up hill to a couple of restaurants.
As others have said, there is a short, very steep hill to the hotel, but not too bad, just a pain pulling suitcase up.
Plenty of restaurants in area, didn’t have a bad meal.
Just a short walk to beaches, just cross road and turn left by cafe bar. Nice beaches with good beach bars. Loos are a bit old fashioned, hole in floor, not very nice for the women!!!
Frequent buses into Chania, very nice harbour area.
If you want duty free fags, buy them at the supermarket, the duty free is much more expensive, the booze is dearer than the uk!!! Don’t rely on the aircraft as they never seem to have stock for the return journey, couldn’t even get a tea.
Altogether a great holiday, definitely recommended.

What a restful, peaceful holiday. We have been coming to the Greek islands for over 23 years, the Nireas has been one of our favourite places. The owner Christos is helpful and always willing to help in every way. Our room was attended to regularly and kept very clean. The pool was cleaned daily, staff were delightful. The ideal place for a quiet and peaceful stay.

Dear Guest Lucy. I hardly can understand the meaning of this. You arrived at the Hotel on the 11-08-17 and and today is 15-08-17 .You are making a complain that refers to things that did not happen. From today you have been rellocated for first and last time in your top floor room that you have requested.this was the plan from the begginig due to some tecnical issues we faced the day of your arrival. your complains sound as if you have already left the property and you describe a situation that has never happend. the reson for this trouble was something unexpected and was shorted out on time. we are very happy to help our guests the best we can at all times
