We booked this stay just 3 weeks before visiting. We were not disappointed, as it is such a relaxing place! From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our room was spotless, and was cleaned thoroughly every day and bedding & towels changed every other day. We booked for bed & breakfast, and the breakfasts were really great, there was so much choice. We also ate dinner at the restaurant twice, and the a la carte menu was super. We felt very relaxed at the end of our stay, and didn't want to come home! We will definitely be back!

We visited Zeus Village Resort for 8 nights in September and were welcomed by Kostantinos who was very accommodating to us arriving at a late hour. We emailed ahead to inform them we’d be checking in 1am due to a late flight which was no trouble and had a very warm welcome. The rooms are very spacious, like a mini apartment and the beds are super comfortable! Only downside was we were next to the busy road but providing you shut the doors and windows at night it didn’t bother us. The pool area is spectacular with the pool beds and plenty of sun loungers with the restaurant just next to it and it never got too busy. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel, so many different options and eggs cooked in front of you to your choice! The Greek yoghurt was my favourite, a huge selection of toppings with cereals, seeds, Nutella, peanut butter! Lots of pastries, cold meats, cheese, bacon, sausages and lots of types of bread. They even cater for gluten free. They also had slightly different options each day for pastries, fresh fruit. Only disappointment was the coffee machine, but we like our coffee strong. But you could order coffee from the bar if you wish. Drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced and you can order from your sun loungers. The staff and service was impeccable, couldn’t fault. Rooms cleaned well. We had nest of ants form outside our front door and balcony but Kosta helped instantly to remove them! The hotel itself is a small distance outside of chania old town, we had hired a car so it was an easy 10 minute drive. But there are plenty of buses that run too. There’s a lidl within 5 min walking distance and another large supermarket too. Convenient for buying water and food as the rooms have a fridge and plates/ cutlery so we could make our own lunches and keep milk for making tea/coffee. There’s plenty of beaches nearby within walking distance and some nice restaurants too. We stayed local a few nights and drove into chania other nights as parking is relatively easy. It’s also a great location if you wish to visit Samaria Gorge and Balos Beach which we did. You can also go to Elafonissi via car or excursion. Overall we loved our stay at Zeus! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Chania!

Partner booked this holiday for us and I was a bit dubious just from the photos as I am 51 and all the people in the pics were clearly younger and models. But was no need to worry as the were guests of all ages. Very friendly welcome. Room was lovely. Pool area was stunning. Despite there being a notice in the rooms saying please don’t reserve sunbeds there was clearly some that was as when we came down for breakfast there were towels on beds already. That said, there was still plenty for everyone. Breakfast was fantastic from continental to cooked options including freshly made scrambled or fried eggs and omelettes. Ramona was a real star making sure you had everything you needed for breakfast and also drinks and snacks round the pool during the day. Thats not taking anything away from the other staff who were all great but Ramona really stood out. Our room (213) was beautiful tho the balcony was overlooking the road so if we went again we would ask for one on the pool side. Only one criticism is maybe a darker blind on front door of room to block light but apart from that we would definitely go back. Beautiful hotel. Every member of staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Have already recommended to friends. The owners and staff should be very very proud.

Just arrived home after a 1 week stay at the hotel, we had no expectations but we were absolutely blown away! Cannot speak highly enough of the place. The staff were always incredibly kind, lovely and helpful (especially Ramona!). Not just the waiting staff/receptionists, but also the cleaners and gardener would always say hello and made us feel at home. The pool area is really beautiful and so relaxing. There are really comfy day beds to lounge on, as well as sun loungers. The breakfast buffet was amazing, pretty much everything is fresh and there are so many things to choose from sweet and savoury. The dishes are also swapped and changed throughout the week which was nice! We had lunch by the pool a few times and the portions were generous and the food was great. The location was excellent, the area itself has nice beaches, but not much of a nightlife/restaurant scene which we knew. But the bus stop into Chania was a 1 minute walk down the hill and was a regular service until around 11:20 every night so we went there. Our room was cleaned every day, it was lovely and spacious. The hotel also gave me a complimentary bottle of white wine for my birthday which was really sweet. Please don’t hesitate to book this hotel, it was an incredible and memorable experience. Thank you all 😊

Just returned after our second visit to this lovely resort. The apartment was clean and spacious with everything you could need. The pool was immaculate with plenty of sun beds. The gardens were amazing with trees and shrubs beautifully sculptured, plenty of lemons falling from the trees, and well kept flower beds. Breakfast excellent served by Ramona - who was so polite and efficient! Another positive was Charula on reception again nothing was too much trouble, together with the cleaning staff all polite and efficient. The resort is a well run family business and all staff are excellent. Fabulous food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also in an excellent location near supermarkets, tavernas, beaches and accessible to Chania either by bus, taxi or walking. Will definitely return!

Lovely hotel very clean, breakfast was very nice. There was air conditioning in our room which was great however there was none in reception and it was very hot. This hotel would benefit from having evening entertainment also more details of excursions in reception. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and would visit again.

I write this review whilst still in resort. Came here for a week with my partner in early October and was instantly impressed by the easy check- in (we arrived quite late) process and friendly gentleman (Constantinos?) in reception. We were offered an upgrade from a studio to an apartment which was a welcome surprise. I think we knew from the moment we walked through the pool area to our apartment that our choice of hotel was the right one. The apartment was huge and spotlessly clean and literally a few seconds walk from the pool and café bar but was also far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. (Room 101). We were given a welcome drink at the bar after we had unpacked. The whole complex is spotless and you can see the maintenance man working pretty much all day keeping it this way. Whether trimming the bushes or keeping the pool clean he’s always doing something. The pool area and gardens are probably some of the nicest and well kept we’ve ever stayed at. Drinks and food are good and realistically priced. Towels are changed every couple of days but you can have the room serviced more often if you wish. Just put your sign out on the room door handle. WiFi is free and usually ok but was a little hit and miss in our room. By the pool the WiFi is good. Air conditioning is free (a nice surprise in Greece) and worked really well on those hot nights. We managed to get a sun bed or cabana every day and there was never a stampede to get a sun bed. We went quite late in the season and the resort was extremely peaceful. The included breakfast was fabulous and had huge choices. Better than most other hotels we’ve stayed at. Hot and cold food is available. You can even get omelettes, scrambled egg or fried eggs made fresh to order. The local Greek/Cretian breakfast choices are huge and you will find no shortage to choose from. There is plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available at breakfast too and cold drinks. If you’re looking for a busy resort then Kato Daratso is probably not for you. In fact the choice of restaurants we found were quite limited. Chania town is good for a day trip and you can get the bus just down the road from the hotel for €1:10 per person if you pay in advance at the machine at the bus stop. Our favourite Greek hotel to date and if we could pick this place up and take it anywhere else we surely would. Thanks to all of the staff here who are extremely friendly and to Romana (whose English is excellent) for serving our food and drink most days. I’m surprised that is classed as a 3* and personally would rate it higher. Would we go back for a peaceful holiday? Most definitely.

We cannot fault this hotel. It is an oasis of calm. Extremely professionally managed but very friendly too. All the staff make your stay enjoyable from the maid service, guy that cleans the pool, restaurant staff and reception. They will do anything to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. Pool area and restaurant are impeccable, a few issues with people reserving sunbeds early but there are always free ones. Beds/pillows are of high quality and very comfortable. God black out blinds. Outside the hotel it is a bit touristy but hop on the regular bus to Chania town which is stunning or hire a car and head south.
