Sirios Village lies in one of the most beautiful areas of Chania, Kato Daratso, which is 4 km west of the city of Chania and 14 km from Chania airport. A magnificent Mediterranean Village, built on a verdant plot area of 2.7 hectares. Small white detached houses are “scattered” inside trees and flowers, where their architectural design blends in with the surrounding environment in perfect harmony, only 350 m away from the sandy beach.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have had an awesome week with friends & family, the staff really are amazing they all seem prepared to go the extra mile, the food was quite special at times, I’m afraid I’m very fussy eater but always left the restaurant fully feasted, the restaurant manager always on hand, testing dishes were up to standard and assisting when needed, the bar staff worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had whatever they needed always with a smile first class service thank you guys for making the holiday so memorable, I Will Be Back 👍

Bad first. The wine option is poor to bad. The beer is beer. The food mixed, hot food should be warmer and despite the discription and style is the same being something tasting like cooked previiusly frozen tastely meat, fish or chicken that lack good flavour. On the plus side the salads are excellent and when it's hot, and it was, the salads are perfect. Great low level buildings remove the need for a mammoth structure to house the guest. A fun pool area for under 12 and two adult pools dominated by older children. A 700 meter plus walk from to the beach though 400 meter of low level accommodation. And that is grear. It's also relatively inexpensive. I think that make a good balance.

We stayed 6 adults and 5 children for a week. Plenty of sunbeds, and lots of space by the pools. The pools are nice, clean and spacious. The toilets by the pool are used by a lot of people in bathing clothes which causes a lot of water on the floor. This is not the hotels fault. But the floors were very slippery and definitely not safe. We rented pool towels-good Price and lovely towels. Bring a namelabel or tag or something like that, a lot of people rent the same kind of towels. At The pool area Sadly a lot of people were smoking. The rooms are a bit outdated, but very nice and The cleaning is done once a day and is very good. The shower in the rooms is located in the bathtub. If you have trouble With balance or similar, this is not the place for you, at least if you want to shower. Clean and nice restaurant. Really good saladbar at the buffet. The cakes were also lovely. The most Delicious Souvlaki at the grill for lunch every day. Nice feature With icecream in the AI package-some of the best icecream I have tasted in an AI in Europe. The AI beverages are not the best. Tastes watery. The redwine and the diet coke is almost undrinkable. The reception and the bar/restaurant staff are always smiling, helpfull and friendly. The minimarket is located at the hotel-very nice and has a good selection of things to Buy. The kids loved it. The wifi is quite poor. In the rooms almost non-excistant. But in the reception area it is very good. One night there was a circus for the kids-so amazing!! Overall a very nice and friendly hotel at a really good Price.

Had a great week here during late September. We had the room with own pool, which was really worth the extra few hundred euros compared to other rooms. Atmosphere was nice, there were always space in the public pools and everything was clean and tidy. Public pools were great for our 6 year old, but also older kids seem to like to swim there. Water was warm enough in the pools and also in the sea. Good beach also very close by. Food was ok, but there wasn't much variation even though there was theme nights. Everything tasted pretty much the same depending on the theme. Still lot's of different sorts and nothing run out. So eat every other day in one of the good local restaurants and you'll be fine. One word of warning. Do not use the laundry service! It was very expensive (14€ / 4kg). It left everything dirty. Almost felt like they had only used some perfume to make the clothes smell like "clean". It's much better to buy some laundry detergent and do some hand washing in the room. Would have given 5 out of 5, but monotonic food and terrible laundry service took one star away.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay in our resort. We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay in your superior room with private pool. Our buffet is continuously evolving, even througout the season in our effort to improve it. With a different buffet menu every day and with themed nights to enrich the variety of dishes served, not only local but also international. There is always space for improvement and this is what we will continue to do. We are really sorry about the laundry experience. It is something that hasn't come to our attention this season, but we will look into it. We hope you decide to visit us again sometime soon and hope to offer you a 5 star rating holiday experience. Waaaay to few facilities with lounge area at the evening, where you can sit. Only one bar for serving drinks, and it is only a few drinks they are serving. There is only one toilet near the reception area. - so you have to use your own room or go all the way to the reception. Some of the staff are a bit rude and aggressive, when you ask for something. But it was cozy and enjoyable, and I think it is the last holiday season, so maybe the staff is a bit tired.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing our resort for your holidays. We are happy to know that you had a cozy and enjoyable stay despite the drawbacks that you mention. Regarding WC, it is located at the pool area and not only at the reception. Pool bar offers 3 different cocktails every day, rum, vodka, tequila and gin straight or with soft drink, also many more drinks with charge. We apologize for any inconvenience that could have been caused by our staff's services, something we don't usually face as anyone can see the positive reviews regarding our services. We hope to have the chance of accommodating you again and be able to offer you an even better holiday experience. Yours sincerely, Nektarios Koumakis Guest Relations Mgr

The staff in lobby very nice people. The food was good. The chairs on balcony are terrible for big people. I would like to have more entertainment for adult people. No need to go to the beach when people have nice pools and sunbathing area like in Sirios hotel.

We stayed at the Sirios as a family of 4. 2 teenage daughters. We stayed in a Lux suite with private pool and terrace. 2 rooms. 1 double bed and 2 sofa beds in other room. Room was modern and well equipped. Mini fridge was stocked with water/cokes/ and a bottle of wine, on arrival. Which was a nice touch. Didnt get refilled during our stay. Rooms cleaned to a high standard every day. Surprised that I was charged to use the safe, after i had shelled out just under £1000 extra for the best room available. But only 10euros. So not a big thing. Wifi wasnt brilliant, but I was also working some days, so probably noticed it more than anyone would have. it worked. Private pool was amazing. Always somewhere to find shade around the pool during the day. Pool deep enough (1.5mtrs) and long enough (roughly 4mtrs) to play in all day. We didnt use the main pools, but they looked clean, and beds available. Food was of a very good standard. All of us always found something to eat, and my partner doesnt meat. Deserts were ok. Mostly anything filled with cream. But didnt stop me getting 3 at a time! Drinks were basic, but we are not drinkers, so house wine/beer on tap worked fine for us. Beach around 5/10min walk. But lots of different beaches scattered around within 15mins. All of them amazing and sandy, with a blue warm sea to die for. overall amazing stay at Sirios village. Would definitely reccomend, and would be happy to stay there again. I would also like to say that Chania old town is a must visit. Its very beautiful.
