Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great stay at Park House whilst completing a few legs of C2C. Our room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, hosts very helpful with pick ups for our walking. Local pub for evening food was first class too. I'd recommend for walkers or a quiet break. Thanks for a great stay, Iain

This is a really fabulous place to stay! It was great fun, very stylish and an incredibly well thought out experience. We were enthusiastically welcomed, taken and then picked up from an evening meal at the pub in the village, and we had a really nice breakfast. Our room was cosy and ultra clean and a happy place to wait out the overnight storm. Thank you :)

We were so fortunate to stay at Park House on our Coast to Coast walk. It was a short walk that day but incredibly hot. However, once we got to Park House, it was like everything became perfect. The breeze and the trees cooled the temperature and we could marvel at our surroundings. Our room was very comfortable and we were so appreciative of the ride back and forth to the Pub for dinner. Breakfast and the packed lunch were excellent but honestly, the setting of the dining room table, made my night and morning the next day. So much care and so beautiful. Thank you Victoria and family.

Excellent night’s stay at this wonderful B and B. We were on a bike tour and were made very welcome - bikes stored for us, cosy room, good shower, comfy guest lounge and a super pub down the road for food. Breakfast was excellent. Great location too for Coast to Coast/Cleveland way walkers. Highly recommended.

Park House is a beautiful, old deer stalker's lodge on the edge of Arncliife Wood right on the C2C path. Our room was extremely comfortable and there was a delightful sitting room for the use of guests. Victoria kindly drove us to and collected us from The Bluebell Inn for dinner which was very much appreciated after a long day's hike. Breakfast was excellent and packed lunch delicious. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

This accommodation is perfectly located and set up for walkers tackling the Coast to Coast which our family was walking. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful - we even managed to get some much need laundry done overnight. The accommodation is excellent and the large breakfast table is great for sharing walking tales with fellow walkers. Highly recommended.

I stayed here with my friends while we did the Coast to Coast walk. Victoria was fabulous in looking after us despite some of us having succumbed to lurgies from the culmination of challenging walking days. She was very caring and even sought medical advice for us! The decor of the house matches the character building. Loved the wall murals in each room that matched the names of the rooms. Breakfasts were delicious and we really appreciated being treated like adults by being able to pack our own lunches. Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend them highly to everyone.

What a joy it was to have found this amazing B&B. After the long walk (Coast to Coast) from Richmond Park House ticked all the boxes and more. The place with the personal touches of the owner make it a unique place to stay. The room was spacious, clean, tidy and warm. Shame we did not have time to enjoy the lovely communal lounge. The Breakfast was excellent and loved ability to choice what we wanted with our sandwiches for the packed lunch. I will certainly book again for any family holidays in the area. Highly recommend the place.

I stayed here last year in 2022 when I walked Coast to coast. I’m currently on the West Highland Way and realised it’s my favourite bnb I’ve ever stayed in and I didn’t even leave it a review. You have to stay here, no ifs or buts, if you are doing the Coast to coast it should be mandatory to stay here. The room is cosy, well designed and airy. The murals are an incredible personal touch for c2c walkers. The breakfast was stunning, I was so glad for the option of porridge, having eaten so many English breakfasts on the walk. The owners are incredible, they had organised for me and other walkers to go to the nearest pub for food, they picked us up and dropped us off. I got to have dinner with three lovely Australians because of this. My favourite thing is the personal touches, they had left the Sheperdesses book in the room I stayed in, a couple of days before you stay here you go pass her farm. They offered pack lunches and you were allowed to pick your treats that were beautifully displayed at the entrance. Theres a lounge for guests which is cosy. Stay here.
