Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This B&B stands out for its memorable hosts, Tom and Lesley, highly intelligent and forthright, with interesting life experiences. Their house, with its very homey decor, and garden, growing fruit, veggies, and awesome flowers, reflect many years of loving attention. We slept well in the comfortable beds, enjoyed our hot shower and appreciated the generous breakfast. "Cozy" is the right adjective here -- do not expect large quarters, be careful on the steep stairs, observe your scheduled arrival time, and you will be warmly welcomed.

Quiet and quaint little BnB with lovely hosts Tom and Lesley. Beautiful breakfast, comfy bed, great sleep and kind hosts. Perfect place on the Cotswolds way especially having a bath! Thank you both so much for a lovely stay.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst walking the Cotswolds Way. This is a delightful quaint property set back off the road and somewhere you feel home from home. No airs and graces. We stayed in the double bedroom with private bath and toilet and whilst initially we thought we would miss the en suite, this was actually not a problem. Breakfast was very traditional English with full cooked available if required as well as cereal - gluten free available - and toast and marmalade. Very nice. Hosts were very welcoming.

I used this Bed and Breakfast whilst walking the Cotswold Way. The owners were very welcoming. Stayed in a double bedroom overlooking the garden. The bathroom and loo were separate from the bedroom. There was a shower over the bath. There was a delicious breakfast with homemade jam and honey from their own hive.

Delightful stay with lovely kind hosts. Room was spotless and comfortable and great power shower which made a real difference after walking 16 miles on Cotswold Way. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner options is limited however there is takeaway and my hosts were very kind and happy for me to sit and eat my takeaway in the dining area. A great stop on Cotswold Way.

I felt so well looked after at this B&B. I'm not a talkative person by nature but I felt so at home here, and Tom and Lesley were so friendly, as was their cat Oscar, who refused to leave me alone, and pestered me constantly, in the nicest of ways. Others have written about this place being hard to find. I suppose it is rather set back from the road, but if you trouble yourself to look it up on a way you'll find it's actually very well located, and I found it without very much effort. There was a sign up front. There's a pub nearby, the King's Head, but I wandered over to Leonard Stanley instead, to a pub called the White Hart, which apparently is a bit more consistent when it comes to quality of food.

We stayed while walking the Cotswolds Way, for which Orchardene is very convenient. The room was comfortable and homey. The breakfast was terrific. Tom and Lesley made us feel as if we were with friends of friends. Most welcome was their advice for how to rejoin the Way. As others have noted, the house isn't easy to find, because it is a house set back from the road on a residential street. Note about wifi: every place we stayed in the Cotswolds offered free wifi. Often the wifi range was limited. Orchardene was no different. Wifi worked in one room, but not another.

The Orchardene is a great B&B but it took a little searching to find. Its set quite a bit back from the road and it could use a sign giving directions. We visited while hiking the Cotswold Way and found it very convenient to the short path through Kings Stanley. The hosts were very accommodating and put together a great breakfast for us in the morning. They also gave us some great advice on hooking back to the CW path as Kings Stanley is a little removed from the main route.

We were walking the Cotswold way and the company that was taking care of our trip had booked this B&B. We had got the address but not the way how to reach it and it was quite difficult to find! In addition we have asked to 4-5 different persons and nobody was able to indicate where it was. Finally we found a kind woman that indicated us the way. Tip: it is not on the main road but a bit behind, the plate with the name is covered by branches (at least in summer!). Anyhow, once it was found we had a very warm welcome and a nice and fresh room with bathroom. The breakfast was very good and our guests very friendly to us. Thank you!

We stayed here whilst walking the Cotswold Way, for which it is very convenient. We had a clean, spacious and comfortable double with private (not ensuite) bathroom. Limitless hot water, excellent after a long walk. Good, free wi fi. The local pub wasn't doing food that night (we checked when we walked by) but no problem. We picked up a bottle from the Coop and got a Chinese takeaway and had a lovely time having it in the dining room. If you don't fancy a Chinese, pizzas can be delivered. The hosts, Tom and Leslie, were very friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. A good breakfast was provided.
