We stopped for breakfast and we’re surprised not just how good it was but it was also value for money. Really nice food, pleasant service and a nice courtyard garden to eat it in. We will go again Tip: If you get the chance buy lunch from Baines the baker and have a picnic looking at Eyebrook

I stayed for two nights at this hotel and what makes it special are the reception and restaurant staff. They are very welcoming and go that extra mile. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the standards of cleaning. I had booked a standard room, however on my arrival I was told that I was originally booked into the sister hotel "The Foals", however I had now been moved to the main building. I wasn't even aware there was a sister hotel and no idea why my booking would have been moved there without my knowledge! Check in after this "bit of news" was fine and I made my way to my room. The room I was in was a little dated, there were marks on the carpet and the walls could have done with a fresh coat of paint in some places, but what really disturbed me was the state of the bathroom. There was urine in the toilet and the sink was dirty. As I had already unpacked, I cleaned the bathroom myself and on reporting it to the reception they did offer to change my room, however by this time it was too late. I couldn't fault the hotel in any other areas, just the standard of cleanliness needs to improve.

We had our wedding here Easter weekend and it was northing short of amazing. The hotel itself is stunning, the rooms are beautiful and the courtyard is a perfect setting for a spring or summer wedding. We had our ceremony and reception in the garden terrace room and had our cocktails/late night drinks all throughout the main bar and garden. The food was unreal, we've had so many comments on the food and I genuinely couldn't stop thinking about it from our menu tasting to the reception. And on top of it all the staff are incredible. From the first email request I sent to checking out I have to say a huge thank you to Lily and Anjali and all of the staff that worked throughout that weekend. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Highly recommend having your wedding, family reunion, or even just a lovely weekend here. We will absolutely be back.

Very impressed with the service we received from all the staff at The Falcon when we booked tea and scones for the end of our WI Treasure Hunt. Staff were extremely patient when we had to keep altering expected numbers right up to the last minute. They also gave us a private room at no charge - totally unexpected but much appreciated. Cannot fault the friendliness of all the staff. Would definitely recommend.
