Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful venue in Beautiful surroundings. Friendly service by a great team all housed in an understated, although luxurious settings, nothing was too much trouble. A large group (c. 25) of us stayed to celebrate a wedding. The hotel arranged a magnificent private dinning experience, the food was tasty! The Tap room is also a cozy relaxation area. Our room (cottage!) was delightful and a peaceful retreat. Private and Personalised parking! The lounge bar offered bites to eat and a reasonably well stocked bar. Would highly recommend and the staff where the icing on the cake.

Came for Sunday lunch todsy as a group of 6. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We had roasts which were well cooked and plentiful. There were extra jugs of gravy put on the table as well as more veg than we needed. We all enjoyed the cisy ambience and friendly and efficient service. Well done Falcon Hotel you're doing a great job.

Five stars cannot begin to reflect the level of warmth, service, professionalism and attention to detail that Lily and the team provided for our special Wedding day at the Falcon. Never before have we experienced such attention throughout the lead up to and on the day in question. This venue and its staff are a credit to what good service and 5 star actually are, honouring all the proported to offer and more. Accommodating our furry friends (4 dogs) and our wedding party just made it all the more special. So many memories, thank you’s and a special place in our heart we will never forget.

We had a lovely 4 night break, we booked the twin accessible room which was great, It had a en suite wet room and there was lots of space. The room was clean with facilities to make tea and coffee etc, there was also an ironing board and iron in the room which was useful. The hotel has a lovely outside courtyard. The staff were very nice and the food was very good. We would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future.

A good family hotel with loyal clientele. It has been good but our friends visited the hotel last year commented that it is not as clean as it used to be. We felt that the attention to detail was poor. One of the seats in the breakfast room was stained by coffee or tea and no attempt was made to clean it properly. The breakfast is good and the food generally is good. Excellent location but the car park is rather tight. We would visit and stay provide they improve the cleanliness and their attention to detail.

Well what can I say!!! Just had afternoon tea with 2 friends. It was for a friends 40th birthday. The Falcon let us decorate the table before hand and were very helpful, letting us choose which table. The staff were all amazing, but a huge shout out to Lucy who made it extra special. She was courteous, attentive and just overall amazing… The quality of the afternoon tea was superb. It was freshly made and Lucy said that we could change anything we didn’t like by looking at the list of sandwiches and desserts first. … but we loved everything. By far the best afternoon tea we have ever had… well done The Falcon!!!!

Can all those rave reviews be deserved? Oh yes they can! This is one of the nicest, best run, smart without be pretentious hotels we have stayed at in the whole country. Lovely courtyard garden. Market square opposite the front door (market day Friday). Food is imaginative without going too far. Excellent breakfast. Couldn't fault the spacious room. Indeed, we couldn't fault anything. Just hope they don't get complacent.

The Falcon hosted our wedding reception and it was perfect from start to finish. Dedicated servers for our welcome drinks and (delicious!) canapes next to a picturesque garden waterfall, absolutely everything was provided for. The meal itself was sublime, all guests commented on how tasty it was including a guest who is very particular about food saying it was literally the best meal she had ever had! Breakfast the next morning was also first class. The suite we stayed in was cosy, spacious and perfect for the occasion. We loved it. I also have to mention just how helpful their wedding team was on making this event so special, the entire team were a delight to communicate with throughout the planning stages and took away all the stress we otherwise could have had. I cannot recommend the Falcon Hotel enough - thank you so much!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Falcon, our room was next to the gardens and although the weather was not suitable on this visit we have enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner in the courtyard previously. The reception and bar staff were excellent and very efficient and friendly. Our room was excellent with easy access which was appreciated by my wife, especially the push button window opening/closing. Breakfast was plentiful, great choices. We used the hotel as a base for visiting family and we will definitely be returning. By the way, Uppingham is a delight.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely quaint area. Our room was so luxurious but also really quiet. The best nights sleep that I have had at a hotel, usually other guests keep me awake. The amenities in the room were brilliant. We didn’t get to try the bar and evening restaurant as we arrived later than expected but the breakfast was really tasty and plentiful. I hope to return and have already recommended to family.
