Just open for a few more weeks dorrington inn has been sold. this was our second visit. We had five and a dog in the a frame cabins. We stayed both times because they allow dogs. Spent Saturday in the forest walking through the snow with our dog. Nice time and our last.

If you are looking for a cheap prized Hilton type of hotel, this is not the place for you! The best description I can come up with is Rustic. The private chalets are great for privacy. The loft was a nifty treat for my kids to sleep it (the stairs are really steep and should never be attempted in the... More

My family and I have been coming here for many, many years. We love the location and the chalets are perfect for my family. It's like home away from home. The private cabins are very cozy and mountainy. Our rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy not to hard. The innkeepers/owners are the nicest people that you could... More

Initially we were excited to stay here but what a dissapointment. The "chalets" are overpriced, dingy with old carpet and very uncomfortable beds. The sheets were so thread bare, it didn't even feel there were any. Whoever cleans these places needs some training. The microwave was far from spotless and the kitchen sink drain was disgusting. And, no coffee maker,... More

At $109 (plus tax) per night this was overpriced. The chalets look cute from the outside but get inside and you are in nothing more than a dirty, very old roadside motel. The first thing we noticed was the cool loft area. Our 10 year old thought the loft was "awesome" until he found the cobwebs, bugs, candy wrappers and... More

I have stayed here before a couple of years back. I noticed this time on how dirty the cabins were. Needed new carpet, spiders and dead flys on the floor. Need an overall cleaning. The toilet seat was not bolted to the ground all the way. New carpet would of made a big differance along with a double scrub. For... More

We stayed here for a night when we took our kids up to Bear Valley to play in the snow. It was really conveniently located and the price was right. The breakfast was decent for the price: hard boiled eggs, toast, hot and cold cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, milk. We stayed in one of the chalets and the room was... More

We spent a weekend in one of the chalets and loved it. The chalets have an upstairs with a queen bed, and a downstairs with a queen bed, TV (with VCR/DVD combo), kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, sink, no stove top), and bathroom. This was a wonderful set up for traveling with a friend (and dog!). Heat is supplied via a... More

We stayed at the Dorrington Inn for two nights over Labor Day weekend. As long as you are not in need everything looking spotless and brand new, this is a great place. As others have pointed out, the chalets are great fun for kids with the loft. I was a bit scared of the steep stairs but my 7 and... More

“If you have a big family and all want to stay together, look at the Jack and Jill suite. Or you can rent a couple of the chalets since they are so close together, and have some adult time while the kids get to have a slumber party in the woods.”
