This was the highlight of our trip to Colombia! Maria goes above and beyond; her dedication and commitment to ensuring that your stay is perfect is extraordinary. The setting itself is stunning.....surrounded by beautiful scenery it is the most tranquil escape. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to have Lomo dinner which was one of the best meals of our entire holiday. We also went riding; the horses are fantastic, even for a novice rider. The rooms are very comfortable and more than sufficient for our needs. Yes, it is slightly out of town, but I can assure you, you will not regret staying here. A really magical and special place. Thank you Maria and Team.

We had an incredible stay at Ecohotel La Cabaña, travelling as a family of 3 and together with other friends. The Ecohotel has maintained its wonderfully authentic coffee finca atmosphere and offers cosy and neat rooms. Extra perks are the delicious colombian cuisine with a tasty breakfast to get you started for an active day and the fact that the finca also operates a milk business meaning plenty of cows and little calves to watch and play with. What makes a stay here unforgettable though is the wholehearted hospitality of Maria and her family who will go out of their way to make your Salento / Kokoro experience nothing short of brilliant. Make sure you use their experience planning activities!

Eco Hotel La Cabana was our favorite hotel in Colombia. They provide simple, comfortable, clean rooms on a dairy farm that is convenient to both Salento and the Cocora Valley. It is surrounded by the most stunning, bucolic landscapes. It rained while we were visiting, so we spent time sitting on the porch watching the sky, mountains, and birds. It was beautiful! As the other reviews stated, the owners and staff (Hector, Adriana, and Santiago) couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. For instance, they did our laundry, cooked an exceptional barbecue, walked us to the trail, planned a horseback ride, drove us to town and the valley, and even organized our transportation from Santa Marta to our next hotel. The food is healthy and delicious. The barbecue dinner was the best meal we had in Colombia. I highly recommend this hotel.

I spent 3 nights in Feb. 2020 while traveling around in Columbia for 1 month. La Cabana was my favorite stay because of the original charming buildings and environment.
It is a perfect place from where to attend excursions but I enjoyed SO much just spending time around the houses with many relaxing spots, the river etc.
Room and outdoor seatings were kept clean every day.Great atmosphere and one of the owners, Maria was very aware about every guest, giving informations, a lift to busstation or whatever.
The breakfast buffet was different and nice every day and Maria kept an eye on the quality of food from the kitchen and sometimes offer colombian style barbecue.
I only wish I had planned to stay there more nights.

Gorgeous surroundings and property. Staff is beyond helpful and kind—special thanks to Santiago, who’s such a caring, capable and fun guy, who btw speaks fluent English and explained us everything in great detail and answered all of our questions. Food is very good and affordable. Lots of friendly animals! Cute cats, a lovely dog, lots of cows and some horses. The river room (8) has a beautiful view to the Quindío river. It’s relatively small but cozy and has a small fridge, stacked with various drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). There’s a small space heater that’s really useful during the chilly nights. Valle de Cocora is only a few km away. Incredibly calm, relaxing and quiet place. We wish there were a few more shelves or a chest of drawers to put clothes on/in, though, as well as a hanger or something to dry the towels there. Many different activities are offered, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, etc. Coffee & tea available all day long. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Can’t recommend enough.

This hotel is a real find. It is set in the middle of the countryside where you wake up in really comfortable beds to the side of the birds singing and cows mooing. The place has charm and character with hammocks to while away some relaxation time on the verandas that surround the house. The family who run this are delightful - such a help who go above and beyond. The food is good especially the traditional barbecue; the activities available are varied and interesting. Just wish we could have stayed longer than the 3 nights. Would highly recommend it and hope to return one day.

This hotel definitely has the service of a 5 star hotel. They offer several extra services (laundry, taxis, activities..), actively ask you if you need help and make time for a personal conversation every day. The breakfast is delicious, and we also had some lovely local dishes for dinner at their restaurant. The garden and farm offer a relaxing surrounding. The hotel is ideal for couples (offers enough privacy) but also very nice for children (there are farm animals and enough room and entertainment).

We stayed here with another couple for two nights and honestly this was one of my top hotel experiences ever. The staff is great (Esteban was there during our stay). The owner Adriana is amazing. Super kind and generous. We all felt like we were spending a couple nights with a friend. The food is delicious. The setting is absolutely stunning. Very close to Salento (there is a trail that allows you to walk and avoid driving or walking on the highway if you want). We stayed in the river house and I'd highly recommend getting one of the two back rooms that open to the river. If you're visiting Salento this is where you want to stay. Don't bother looking anywhere else.

Excellent hotel and location close to Salento and Valle de Cócora. We stayed three nights and had a great time. The hotel is an old finca with very nice accommodations and very charming house. Breakfast was included every morning with lots of choices including home-made jams, cheese, yogurt and honey. The restaurant is open for dinner every nights and they offer excellent choices of food. The service throughout the hotel was very good. The owner and his daughter (Hector and Ma. Camila) were always available and helpful. The hotel offers a variety of tours that can be arranged through them. This makes the planning so much easier. Highly recommend this gem. It has a lot of character and charm.

I cannot say enough good things about La Cabana and its staff! My husband (a Colombian) and I (a gringo) invited 20 USA friends to join us after our wedding on a group honeymoon and stayed at La Cabana for 3 nights. The hotel location is stunning with mountains along both horizons. The staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and truly interested in the guests - shout out to Santiago, Carlos, and the crew!! There were so many options that everyone in our large party had a good time. Top activities included the horseback tour, massages, reading in hammocks, and playing cards on the patio.

The food is excellent, beds are comfortable, and we appreciated the sustainability efforts, especially helping us minimize our plastic use by providing water. If you have enough people DEFINITELY do the barbecue! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel with exceptional service and flexibility.

Manizales, Colombia
Hi! We are just 5 minutes away by car/taxi. We can offer one free ride a day but there is public transportation from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm that runs continuously from town to the cocora valley, for less than ,50 USD per ride. There is also private transportation at all times and in our farm we have a trail that goes trough the mountains with a great view that goes to Salento.
