This hotel was once quite splendid with a tennis court, lake and parkland, but it really is all now faded glory. The room was adequate and clean, but no kettle, despite the cups laid out, and bathroom facilities very dated. We were a group of 18 cyclists, and the hot water quickly ran out. We ate in the restaurant by the lake. Just one girl serving, so service very slow, and food very average. Wine list very poor. Having said that, the lady on reception was very willing to try and please. More

Once grand, according to the signage on the entrance and the website - with acres of land, restaurant, tennis court, boating lake, lido, horse ridimng mini golf: All derelict. Usual French-style poorly furnished, outdated rooms. 2 cups, 2 teabags, no milk and 2 glasses in a room for 4. Adequate breakfast. The one female member of staff very welcoming, but disappeared from 4pm till the next morning, making us feel totally abandonned in what is supposed to be a Hotel not a B&B. Could be lovely as the location itself is beautiful. It felt like the Hotel from the Shining. More
