We had a fabulous 3 night stay! A very warm welcome, greeted at the car and helped to carry luggage to the accommodation which was sparklingly clean and fresh and very well appointed. Marc and Peter are excellent hosts and it really does feel like you are staying with friends who care about your comfort. The breakfasts are delicious and served with care and attention to detail in your room. The bathrobes, soft towels and toiletries as well as the very well stocked tea/coffee station are welcome extras and add to the feeling of being in an extra special getaway. The bed was really comfortable and the views and gardens are delightful. We stayed in the spacious Amber Suite which includes a sitting room and kitchen as well as an en suite. The farmhouse has a feeling of peace and serenity and is a place to relax in the countryside while being a convenient drive to Derby and beyond. We had our dog with us and she had a lovely time too!
We had to postpone our Easter trip due to one of us having covid and it was no problem, our deposit was moved to the new date requested with no fuss or bother which was much appreciated.
Thank you so much Marc and Peter, we hope to be back soon!

The suite I stayed in was clean, warm and comfortable and I enjoyed some of the most restful nights. The breakfasts were superb. Peter and Marc were courteous and attentive hosts ensuring that I felt safe with their attention to Covid security. Mackworth Farm House is ideally located for exploring the Derbyshire Dales, Derby and places of interests in the surround areas. I would stay again.

A quirky old farmhouse with comfortable, well appointed rooms. We were met by two very friendly owners who took great care to make sure that all our needs were catered for. The property is covid secure and everyone observed the regulations to the letter. Breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs on toast with more toast and marmalade was delicious and served in our room. Highly recommend this B&B

Such a beautiful and tranquil B&B.

Fabulous Amber suite&welcoming owner.

We arrived to the stunning b&b and were greeted by the lovely owner Peter, we were early checking in as we were going to a wedding Peter was very accommodating helping us check In early.

The commute for the wedding was only 10 mins away from yeldersley hall in a taxi and easily accessible by bus.

We got back to the b&b after the wedding Amber Suite

The kitchen area was very quaint, and very useful, it had everything we needed.
The front room was fab for an evening relax, the telly was easy to use& the sofa was very comfy.

The shower was fab two different types of shower heads to choose from and a good size bath, the toiletries provided were very nice. The bathroom was so clean as was the whole of the amber suite!

The bedroom was lovely and a fab nights sleep.

The complimentary breakfast was lovely and just enough the day after the wedding.

We thoroughly enjoyed the view in the back as there is views of fields and farm, the pond and outdoor seating was lovely ❤️

The decoration of the room was brill and clean we enjoyed our stay so much we will be back!

We also loved the resident dogs.

Thankyou for a fabulous stay would recommend to anyone wanting a tranquil break that is fabulous value for money Xx

Fabulous hosts, very warm & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble! Having messed up the booking myself (even just the 1 night 🤣) and booking it for 2023 and not 2022 (my mistake) we were still accommodated and welcomed to the highest of standards. Breakfast was bought up to the room the following morning, the ingredients were locally sourced, a so very tasty Full English and of good quality, including tea, coffee and orange juice! We stayed in the Superior King Suite, the room was very spacious, we had the use of a lounge with a TV and Sky available to us, with a little kitchenette including a fridge and sink, also a bathroom with toilet & beautiful rain shower all to ourselves. Lovely views of the countryside and the cows 😁

We stayed for 2 nights when we were at a family wedding nearby.
We stayed in the top floor Amber suite which was a spacious room with adjacent bathroom, kitchen for making drinks (varied selection of teas and coffee and fresh milk in the fridge) and TV room with Sky TV (TV in the bedroom is freeview)

Very welcoming, friendly hosts who offered to carry bags to the room as it was on the second floor.

Very comfy bed. Slept really well. Waffle robes provided. Powerful hot shower. Toiletries provided and white fluffy towels. Excellent breakfast served in our room.

Pub 5 minute walk away.

If we are in the area we will definitely stay again and highly recommend it

Stayed last night at Mackworth House Farm B&B after hitting terrible bank holiday traffic on the way home to the North East and decided to have a stop off midway.
The hosts could not be more welcoming. I was travelling with my 7 year old son and my dog.
The room was lovely, very clean with a very comfortable bed. The adjoining new private bathroom was absolutely spotless with lovely fluffy towels and a nice waffle dressing gown.
My dog was made very welcome.
Breakfast was fabulous (served in our room due to Covid restrictions) and exceeded my expectations, my son was also individually catered for which I thought was above and beyond.
All in all a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home and being so attentive.

Thank you for such a lovely positive review. This was our first few days open after lockdown and I really appreciate your comments, especially as we have to adapt considerably due to the present crisis. I'm so pleased we didn't let you down :-) Kind regards, Peter ps.. we thought Stella was gorgeous!

This was a last minute booking as we had come up to take my mother in law for a scan and she was poorly on the journey so ended up being kept in A and E for hours. This meant we didn’t arrive until nearly midnight but we were met by our charming and graceful host who upgraded our room and made us feel super welcome, asking what time we wanted breakfast brought to our room.

The apartment we were in was gorgeous, it’s always nice to be given the penthouse suite! Bed was comfy, loads of tea and coffee, bath was a swimming pool and the room was warm and a good place to pass out without even managing to finish our emergency wine.

Breakfast in the morning was delightful. We are vegan and we feasted like plant based kings. We were even indulged with a late check out after we asked if they would mind if we went for a run to burn off some the calories.

The icing on the cake was when I realised I had forgotten my hairbrush and was offered a solution. An entire hair salon solution. Hair brushed and argan oiled and we were on our way.

Our hosts were lovely. Their home is lovely. The dogs were even lovelier. We will be back.

Arrived at the farmhouse and given a warm welcome by Peter who also kindly carried our luggage up to our suite on the top floor. Our accommodation consisted of a large bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom and kitchen. Although the farmhouse is an old building is was very clean and nicely decorated with some great ornaments and accessories. The breakfast was very tasty and comprised of good quality ingredients. Our hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. The price was very reasonable, It took us less than 10 minutes to Derby centre. Also they allow dogs and there is a dog friendly pub/restaurant a short walk away.
