My last review of this place was not positive but this time things were generally MUCH better.
Receptionist was friendly and helpful. I asked for a room with external windows.
The room was booked well in advance on a promo - always do this if you can for the very best prices.
The only real problem was even though I purchased the 24 hour WiFi access the speed in my room was too slow to stream anything on nowtv. Turning the quality right down on amazon prime video was watchable.
Thanks for a better stay.

We stayed one night at Travelodge Nottingham EMA before taking a taxi to the airport the next morning. The Travelodge was well located and rooms quiet, despite being above a Moto service area. The reception staff were very helpful. When we arrived and enquired about a taxi the following morning, the receptionist offered to book it for us. The next morning, when the taxi needed to pick us up a little earlier, the morning receptionist came to our room to notify us. Very good service from very helpful staff. Altogether, a very pleasant night's stay but be wary of the prices in the food court below - 3 coffees (one for a friend who visited us) and 2 warm paninis cost over £17!!

Other than some worn carpet and dinks to the furniture I would find it hard to fault this for what we paid. Lovely welcome when we checked in, room was airy and spotlessly clean with fluffy towels. The only noise came from the airport nearby so the room is clearly well soundproofed. Part if the Service station so lots of choices food and drink wise.

We booked 2 months in advance before our holiday on 28th March 2022 from EMA.
We thought we got a bargain at just under £60 for 2 rooms as their was 7 of us.
We stayed for one night here on 27th March 2022 for our early flight the next morning.
Ideal location as its based at Moto Services which is ideal as its only 2 mins away to get to the airport by car.
On check in, it was quick and easy, we had to give out our car reg number to get free parking as you only get 2 hours otherwise. We got given rooms 114 and 119 which is based on the first floor and you have a lift to use or stairs.
On entry to the room it was very light and spacious and clean. There was a double bed and 2 single beds on each side of the room and a large window where you can view your car if you parked in certain spaces like we did.
It was a warm day so we opened the window to let in some fresh air.
In the services was places to eat such as Greggs, Burger King, Costa coffee,M&S food Hall, KFC, plus a a couple more places. We got told if we show our Travelodge key at Whsmith, Costa coffee and Burger King that we get 20% off the price. These shops are the only shops that are open 24 hours inside the services.
We planned to go to bed early, because we had to be up at 3am. Around 8pm we got our heads down, and surprisingly you could hardly hear the planes landing or taking off at the airport just a faint rumble outside.
Unfortunately we had trouble getting to sleep, I heard my children trying to get comfy and I struggled to get comfy. My husband could not use his CPAP machine because we had no plug sockets next to the bed.
Basically we all struggled to get the sleep, because we could not get comfy, the room was too warm so I opened the window, the beds was very hard and uncomfortable. At 11pm we was all still awake. I started with back ache from the bed being so hard.
There was no spare Pillows as the Pillows was very thin I had to put towels under my pillow to prop me up a little bit.
We all only got around 3 hours sleep in total which was not good for the children.
When we got up at 3am I was glad because my back ache was so bad. I went on holiday with a bad back due to the bed at travelodge.
All in all I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again, we know it was budget price but every Christmas I stay at a Travelodge for 3 nights while I spend the festive season with family at Manchester and I have never had any issues staying or sleeping there.

We stay here occasionally on our travels, and appreciate the good value. The reception staff are always professional, courteous and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are quite comfortable. The towels are fresh and white and fluffy, and although the linen may or may not be 100% cotton it is fresh and clean, and there are spare pillows in the wardrobe. There are facilities in the rooms for making tea and coffee, and we also like the availability of coffee around the clock at the all-night costa downstairs.

We stayed as a family for one night in this hotel. There was no air-con and it was very hot inside the room. The noise from outside made it impossible to keep window open and the fan in the room was also noisy. The room felt old and in need of refurbishment. It smelt odd too. The carpet was worn and ratty. The shower curtain hung several inches above the bath, allowing water to escape. The soap dispenser did not work. The pillows were flat as pancakes, with no spares as there were 4 of us in the room. Couldn't wait to get out!

Our stay at the Travelodge Nottingham EM Airport Donington Park M1 was stress free from start to finish. Check in and check out was simple and the 20% off at Burger King (provided when showing the room key) was an added bonus. Hotel room was clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities as expected. Would stay again for an overnight stop off if in that neck of the woods.

I do like Travelodges; they're bargain basics, affordable but have king size beds. Although the pillows are too spongey for my liking.

Room was physically clean however because it was an indoor room, it overlooked the services and you don't get complete darkness in the room. (Didn't bother me as i sleep with a mask on). What DID bother me was the lack of fresh air at all, air became dry and stale in my sleep leading to a poor nights sleep :( And also the room had an old, stale cigarette smell. Shower was fairly low pressure but temperature was good. Nice to have a bath even if it was a small one

The hotel is quite quirky as all the rooms are on the 1st floor of the motorway services and all the inside rooms look down into the atrium of the services.
Our room was on the inside and despite that, there was no noise from the inside public area.
The hotel is conveniently placed just off the motorway junction of the M1 and A42 at East Midlands Airport

Family stay, the night before flying out of EM airport.

The check in was good and friendly, the value for money and WiFi quality good.

However, the soundproofing was really poor. We stayed on floor one of two and could hear the creakiness of everything from the room above. It was extensive.

We were also on the side of the M1 and the motorway noise was extensive. That's to be expected, but there was little attempt to soundproof that window too.

It meant a poor night's sleep was had.

The parking area (not Travelodge responsibility) was very dirty too. Including dog poo on the car park.

If you are going to stay here (for the price) then definitely ask for a room on floor 2 and an even number room (faces inwards towards the services courtyard).

Hi! I can only advise regarding a taxi from the Travelodge to East Midlands Airport. The receptionist at the Travelodge will book a taxi for you to the Airport at whatever time you choose. However, it will probably cost you around £14 - £15 because the airport charge a drop off fee of £5 which the taxi driver has to pay to leave the airport after he has dropped you off so that has to be included in the price. I hope this is helpful.

Yes there were 2 additional single pull-out beds for the children in a family room. In the services there is Burger King, KFC, Cornwall Pasty, Greggs, Pret and M&S for food options
