Warm welcome by Lesley and David. Enormous ensuite room with comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the best breakfasts we have eaten which kept us going for most of the day. Fresh flowers and home baked bread were a nice extra touch. We had a great two day stay whilst visiting the golf at Troon and will return if...

Lovely family who run the guest house. Made you feel very welcome. Breakfast was cooked fresh and very enjoyable with homemade bread toasted to order. I must say it was very pleasant when arriving to be given iced water and home made cake and we were also offered this when we came back from a day out. Lovely clean bedrooms...

Lesley does proper bread making - none of the watching others make it, you will be doing it all yourself! Lesley is an excellent tutor and the small numbers in the class mean you get plenty of attention, and husband David joins the chat and even washes the dishes. On the one day course I made 3 different loaves, and...

This just wasn't a bread making course, it was a wonderful day spent in a beautiful home with Lesley a most knowledgeable, experienced and superb tutor and hostess. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly with David joining us back and forth with interesting conversations. I would truly recommend The Old Church experience to everyone.

Amazing what you can turn a bowl of four into and my bread tasted delicious- all thanks to a very good teacher- Lesley. Thankyou also to...

My wife and I have just returned from a 1 night stay in the Cairn Table Suite. It was immaculate and very clean. Very luxurious for a Bed and Breakfast more like a 4 star hotel. David was excellent hosts. Many thanks Michael & Angela

A warm log fire welcome in their intriguing lounge - non-intrusive yet friendly, respect privacy yet homely atmosphere, thoughtful, personal provision of your needs or requests, excellent facilities in all rooms - David and Lesley have asked themselves the question what would guests require and have delivered completely..................oh, and yes, not to mention the home baking and free samples...........treat yourself...

There isn't a lot of choice in Muirkirk (#1 of 1, in fact), so if you must stay here, this is it. Comfortable and warm, and the hostess (Lesley) can certainly cook, and produce a fine breakfast. Downsides? The renovation is a bit flash/tacky (bits not working already), and - oh - if you are not one for whinging monologues...

Visited the Old Church again this week. No sleepover for my but a baking course this time. I just loved it. Lesley had agreed to have a specific bakery course for myself and a friend. I have a small takeaway in Auchterarder (NOSH, thanks for asking ;)) and I wanted help with the baking for the shop. Lesley came up...
