We arrived in this small attractive town tired after a long drive, and with only the most basic of German. We were welcomed, given keys to choose our room, and they even paid for the parking meter in the main square until it became free at 6pm. The room was modern, warm and comfortable, and the bathroom hi-tech, with an...

If you are looking for a simple, clean, affordable, still nice and very well located in a pretty downtown, this is the place. Also in the high season this village is not busy, althugh it is very well located at the beginning of the romantic strasse, Nice and welcoming host, very good breakfast

Turned up on spec with group of friends all riding scooters/bikes. Welcomed in, garage opened to securely store scooters which was very nice. Quaint hotel, rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast aa expected, local town beautiful, would stay again.

Simple hotel, nothing special. Rooms were OK, although we could select other (cheaper rooms) rooms as well which really were outdated and needed renovation. Breakfast OK, but food on the buffet was not refilled in time. Biggest thing is Schongau itself.. It says "historic city center / altstadt" which is a plain lie. There is nothing attractive or beautiful about...

The hotel is the town square with a perfect location. There are enough restaurants in the area. Although the hotel has a few years and may be isnt the most modern hotel but is very friendly and is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast is good for the size of hotel and the owners are really friendly and are...

Stayed 18 nights in January 2015 on business. Stayed in room #7. VERY pleased! The room was always kept clean and they made up the bed "american style" for me. Also, do not hesitate to eat at the Cafe downstairs. Very good food!

The hotel is rather in need of an update, however it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious. Not spectacular but good value for money. Staff are very friendly and even helped fix may car when it broke down in their car park!! Hotel is centrally located in the old town, and although the restaurant does not appear...

This Hotel seriously needs refurbishment! Our linen had holes in the duvet and did not present neat. Everywhere old and unused furniture were stashed away in corners and alongside corridors. In the right hands this place can become a gem. Wi-Fi only accessible in the foyer.

Very friendly family run hotel, owners were particularly helpful with local information. A perfect location to tour the Pfaffenwinkel area of Bavaria. We were provided with a spacious room that was clean and in good condition. The public areas of the hotel are looking a little tired and in need of a bit of TLC however that did not detract...

We found ourselves in this area without a reservation and went into the town of Schongau to find a room. There are not many options here so we were kind of limited. The hotel building itself its very old. The inside though, is very warm and inviting. It had huge beams throughout the restaurant and you can see that the...
