The pousada is a functioning cow farm of small to average size compared to others in the Pantanal. The 366 hectare area borders the aquiduaina river offering a lovely scenery for both water and land safaris. We enjoyed canoeing and a motorboat trip. We hiked, enjoyed sunset and night time road safari to discover the huge variety of wonderful birds....

We stayed at Posada Aguape as part of an organised tour so wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially after a three hour journey from the airport, an hour of which on a dirt road. But wow, simply wow, what an amazing place. The property has been in the owners family for many years and you can feel the love...

Accomodation was terrible. Small, dark and dirty room with mosquitoes splattered on the walls. Food was disappointing buffet style. You would think decent beef given this is a 'cattle' ranch but the small amount on offer was bought in. Cattle ranch thing is for show only to get the tourists in and keep the land from being reclaimed. So we...

Our family (mom dad and 2 daughters in their 20s) loved this experience. The rustic ranch style flair was excellent and the lodge provided comfortable rooms, excellent food and truly memorable excursions. The array of wildlife especially birds and mammals is truly breathtaking. It was fabulous value for money.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Pousada Aguape. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by our English speaking guide and the staff working throughout the lodge. We started off our experience with a delicious lunch and enjoyed every single meal that followed. The tours are varied and well thought out and we were lucky...

A perfect journey into nature, in a place runned by its owner and family and who makes you feel part of them! Breathtaking landscapes, all the wild misteries just a step away, everything carefully taken care by gentle people, always with a smile on face willing to help. Just bring enough clothes to get wet and dirty and dont miss...

We visited the ranch with our teenage daughter and we all had a fantastic time. Apart from the clean comfy accommodation, absolutely delicious food and really well organised activities what made the stay so enjoyable were the staff. The Cowboys were really kind and tried so hard to talk to us (minor language problem) but they were all fantastic! Really...

This pousada was created on the site of a 150 year-old ranch that still has about 2,000 head of cattle. The rooms are comfortable, while basic, with air conditioning. Our first room has a faulty aircon that was repaired the next morning, but we were eventually given a new room due to some water issues. The best thing about this...

It is a great place with good facilities and options for staying and relaxing (pool and bar) or for activities (horseback riding, wildlife viewing car trips). People are knowledgeable and friendly. It helps to know a couple of basic phrases in Portuguese.

This place was lovely, organized and served excellent food. Our English speaking guide, Rodrigo, was with us the entire time and was fantastic. We did tours each day and when we could, we would fit in a little extra piranha fishing. The cattle herding was our favourite tour. This area was beautiful and we saw wildlife on our tours. The...

“These are little bungalows next to the main office and dining area. They offer a rustic, but clean and comfortable accommodation, including a typical Brazilian shower that has a water heater built into the shower head. It had A/C and electricity. Restful and colorful.”
