If you want to 'get away' then get away to Casa Ana. I attended a writing retreat here, and the isolation and beauty of the location couldn't have been more inspiring. The views are out of this world... except it's very much in this world with an amazingly - and surprisingly- vortex of culture in the surrounding white villages -...

Casa Ana is a delightful place to stay. It is only 90 minutes drive from the city of Granada but is a world away from the hustle and bustle. Villages don't come more authentic than Ferreirola, there are no shops selling ceramic pottery or coloured rugs and you are just as likely to meet a goat or a donkey in...

We are a couple who stayed at Casa Ana on our own (not with a group) for several days in May. There are a lot of differences between what other reviewers have said on TripAdvisor and/or what Casa Ana's beautiful website shows, versus what we experienced. Start with meals. We got a basic breakfast each morning with no food choices,...

Only a week and it decided to rain and it was cold and it snowed.....in May. But despite this it was very beautiful so walking in weather that was more like the Brecon Beacons was such a change from the year before. My only regret is that we did not sit under the arbour in Casa Ana's lovely garden after...

Casa Ana is a fabulous venue, great location, great room and facilities, first rate food. We did a week walking with Chris Stewart which was marvelous. There were a mixture of walks in stunning scenery including a final days walk into the snow line, which was stunning (but boy did my knees suffer on the way down!). Strongly recommend!

Its a great location but that's about it. All the stops are pulled out for the walking or writing retreats but if you are here outwith these groups, forget it. The tiny kitchen was inadequate, hardly any tea or coffee, milk needed replenishing, you had to ask for everything. The kitchen towel was not replaced for 5 days. The terrace...

We were on the walking week organised in a small group with Chris Stewart as the guide. Anne arranged everything really well at this small cosy guest house with well equipped en suite rooms. We started the day with an excellent breakfast, a packed lunch was provided followed by a high standard evening meal from the local cooks. Wine with...

Me and my mum stayed at Casa Ana in April 2016 for the 'Walking Over lemons' walking holiday, which was guided by the writer Chris Stewart. The whole holiday far exceeded our expectations, and this was due in large part to the brilliance of Casa Ana. Anne at Casa Ana has created the perfect place for a walking group to...

A wonderful secluded and inspiring little retreat in the small village of Ferreirola in La Taha - if you want somewhere to relax Casa Ana is ideally located amongst the mountains of the Alpujarras in rural Spain. The owner, Anne, provides information about walking routes and places to visit in the area. There's also a very useful communal living space...
