We like to visit new places, so searched the internet for a holiday that would match our experience of Eleonas back in 2014. After a lot of research we just couldn't find anywhere in the Mediterranean/Southern Europe that offered a similar kind of holiday and the same value for money. The whole package is just right for families or couples...

The villas were large and very clean. Great facilities for kids with two playgrounds and swimming pool. The restaurant was extremely accommodating with take-aways available and all the staff were friendly and entertaining. I would certainly recommend to others.

This is a wonderful place, with rooms scattered out in nature. The pool is a tad small, but quite adequate. And very warm when we were there. The reception is excellent. Manolis takes great pains to help you find places to go. He even offers a map of the region with everything marked on it. And there is a lot...

Stayed 10 days and had half board package including car hire (so easy one stop booking). To start met at exit door of airport arrivals with a great welcome and taken to car on road immediately outside (nearer than any car hire depot). Car immaculate, new Nissan, sat nav already setup for hotel, absolutely no hassle, and off within minutes....

Eleonas is in a village about 1 hour drive south of Heraklion and the road for the last 20 mins is a narrow road over the mountains. I failed to realise this because I hadn't checked the map properly before I booked! The Beach is also about 1 hour away and we rented towels (1 euro each) for the beach....

An extraordinary place in every sense, clean, beautiful, tidy, very well set and organised, yet maintaining the kind of tranditional simplicity which is needed to fit in a unique natural landscape. And for a really good price! Everything you may need is included and taken care of in the rooms, a great restaurant will fulfil your tastes to the full,...

I'm almost reluctant to write a review of Eleonas Cottages because I'd like to keep it as my secret. We spent the most delightful mid September week being looked after by Manolis and his team. Eleonas Cottages is NOT a normal hotel. The resort is 21 beautiful little cottages on a mountainside in central Crete, with a restaurant, pool, children's...

Have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and Eleonas is in my top ten. PROS - Communication prior to the trip was good - Excellent price - Area does not feel touristy (I liked Hania, but it feels touristy) - Very hospital owner - Cottage with a deck - Views - Flora all over the place - Complimentary...

My daughter and I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Eleonas. From the beginning our stay was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Manolis was fabulous at answering my many emails very swiftly which was much appreciated! We arrived late to be welcomed with smiles from the staff and sustenance after our journey. Our room ( Daphne...
