5 out of 5. Cannot fault this little gem. We stayed here on our honeymoon in September. There isn't any wifi which is perfect. All you have is nature and the sound of cowbells in the distance. The accommodation was totally modern which was unexpected, from the outset it looks traditional. The perfect blend of old and new. The staff...

This hotel is set in the hills inside a building from the 1780s. But, it has been meticulously refurbished to modern standards. It is clean, the staff is wonderful, and the breakfast is fabulous. Definitely order eggs. It can be a great base to see the bioreserve or just to escape.

We trully enjoyed our stay in Hotel Urune. We were looking for a nice rural hotel and that's what we found. The old house (restored) is absolutely beautiful and well decorated. Our room (a small double-room) was very comfy and had plenty of amenities and toiletries. The common rooms are simply amazing (try at least one day the breakfast: it's...

This is a great little hotel in a fantastic setting - up in the hills and is very relaxing and peaceful with only the cow bells to listen to. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. However our room (room 14) which was a family suite to sleep 4 was very hot despite having fans. The...

Wonderfully appointed rooms, beautiful location and personal service. I will remember the cow bells while sitting under the stars for a very long time. The atmosphere is old, charming and authentic. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill is great. Could be noisy if your room is under a family with toddlers, because the ceilings are thin.

This beautiful little inn is perfect if you want a well-appointed, quiet, country escape. I took walks up the road in the morning and never saw a car--only horses, cows, and the beautiful countryside. Both the rooms and the common areas are finished with high-end materials and the hosts include nice touches like a pitcher of water and glasses in...

Hotel Urune, is a lovely hotel a couple of miles off the main road down a small track that may take some finding since there are no signposts and the postcode covers quite a large area. Situated up in the hills it is very quiet and surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains. The hotel has been built to a very...

We were in the hotel only 2 night but if we know that it is so inviting and pleasant, we would take a few more days. The hotel is very nice and located in a secluded area just as it presents and seen in the pictures.

This hotel is beautifully restored in lovely gardens, with a to lounge and outside to to sit in and drink in the views. Perfectly located for trips to Bilbao and exploring the region. The owner spoke very good English and gave lots of advice as to where to eat.

What an extraordinary find. Every detail perfect. Clean and neat and exotic. Staff to die for. Rebuilt from an old farmhouse to be the height of chic. Alberto raised the stone walls and roof a full meter and you cannot pick how. The upper floor rooms are glorious as are the public areas below. The place deserves to be full...
