It is a cheap place to stay with a simple room. The bathroom is old, but clean. Wifi is free and fast. The breakfast it is only tea or coffee and a plain pankcake, but it is better than nothing. it is a good place where meet new friends. I suggest it if you are looking for simple accomodation.

Good location because right there on the main street, but the front of the hotel says it all: it is miserable !!!! The room was filthy, we didn't dare sleep on the sheets, and we barely set foot in the bathroom. There were bed bugs, it was very very very noisy, because the walls are paper thin, the fountain is very loud, and there are two mosques around.
Only the breakfast pancake was pretty good. But I got a look at the fridge and the kitchen, and I really wish I hadn't.
We knew what we were getting into, we had no money and no other choice: 75,000 RPS for two. tax & breakfast included. wifi in the kitchen area

Myself and my boyfriend spent 1 night here in October 2011, after moving from an awful homestay down the road. We were nearly as unimpressed with this place.

We paid 100,000 Rp a night, for a double room with a fan, en-suite (with cold shower) and a patio area.

Our room was clean, but the bathroom was a little smelly and in need of a clean. The door handle of the bathroom was falling off and the electricity and water kept cutting out.

The surroundings around the rooms are quite nice (apart from the poor unwell fish in the ponds and the birds in tiny cages).

A simple breakfast was included – plain pancake and tea or coffee - which was quite tasty.

We weren't very impressed with Sengiggi as a whole - not much to do or see, and poor accommodation. Plus, everywhere rips you off with the cost of laundry!

Because it's in Lonely Planet and has mixed reviews we decided to give it a shot! But I wouldn't go there or recommend it.
I woke up with BED BUG bites and found some in my bed. When I told them they didn't seem to care.
There were ants in my friends bed. They didn't give us toilet paper because "it's cheap only 30,000" in other words go get it your self. There's no towels. The blankets are questionable and there was garbage under my bed. The breakfast is a dry pancake. That's it. And instant coffee or tea. There's no pool to speak of or fitness center.
Yes it's cheap but I wouldn't stay again. There's also not much to do here so I would continue on to a better hotel if your coming. We only needed two nights and the first night was weird but ok the second was too much. I would have moved if we weren't already leaving.

We found hotel elen while walking through town looking for accommodations. Hotel Elen had the nicest garden among other price comperables. The staff was very honest and friendly it was really pleasant to stay there. Our room was clean and simple (two twin beds and a fan), we had a few mosquitos but we had a mosquito coil with us.

Senggigi on Pulau Lombock lost a lot of its attractions and many places are really to expansive for what they offer.
But Hotel Elen is one of those who respect the traveller with good and clean room, with or without AC, wifi, included breackfast at a decent price.
Well centered, you have access to restaurants and shops, shared taxi, and busses service

Staff very unpolite, place dirty and noisy (close to discotheque), including a pray at 5 am by a speaker! Just cold water and breakfast horrible. Never stay there!! You can find other places around a little bit more expensive a, but much much much better.

It's cheap ok, but I've stayed in cheaper hotels in Bali and Lombok who were much better than that. The mattress was just terrible, I would actually prefer to sleep on the floor I think, the fance is too hight on the roof so doesn't really help with the heat, durty bathroom (spiderweb with spiders too), they don't give you toiletpaper. The breakfest is just plain pancake who taste like caoutchouc ( they don't even make the effort to put banana inside), the staff is not really friendly or smiling. Stay out of there !

We payed 120,000 Rp for a fan room (#2) and therefore got what is expected. The rooms are simple and the walls need a good scrubbing but otherwise the room was clean. There is a social area that has couches to lounge on and the wifi is great. Breakfast includes a pancake and coffee/tea. Coffee/tea all day upon request. Staff is super nice and very helpful. They suggested activities for us at good rates, better than we heard around town, and they were not pushy and recommended local bemo for 5,000 vs private transportation for example. Overall would recommend if this is your price range!

Basically everything in this hotel seems to be broken. The hot water system failed a year ago (according to staff). Toilet did not flush (nor was there any toilet paper), bad smell from the bathroom. WIFI was not working either, nor was the TV,

The staff are friendly guys but cannot run a hotel like this.

On the positive side the aircon worked pretty well, and the room had a balcony big enough to sit on with 2 people comfortably.

The price is low, but this is defnitely not what you want after speding a few days at sea. Didn't even try the breakfast, just headed on an 8 am bus-boat transfer to gili T and was glad to be out of there.
