My husband and I recently stayed here while biking from Girona to the Costa Brava. We had a lovely evening of relaxation and amazing food. Dordie gave us a great cooking class and a perfect introduction to traditional Catalan dishes. The farmhouse was clean and comfortable and their dog is super cute :)

My family and I stayed at Mas Xifre while cycling to Costa Brava the first week of January. It was the best stay of our entire trip. Wonderful B&B and a talented host that in addition to fine lodging and food, also provided useful information about the area. I highly recommend!

Mas Xifre is a beautiful old masia tucked away but not too far from civilization. Even though within a 1/2 hour you can be in the city of Girona or at the beach, from the quiet and amount of stars in the night sky, you would never guess it. The house is fantastic; each bedroom completely different and with its... More

Only once in a while does a traveler find a place such as this. The "farmhouse," as our self-guided bicycle notes termed it, is hosted by Dordie, who once called Chicago home. Now she and her husband, David, run this B&B in Catalonia. While both the Costa Brava and Girona are only a dozen miles away, you won't find the... More

right beside the cycle path, this is a fantastic rural farmhouse experience, complete with garden to table cooking class and dinner that was the best meal we had in Catalonia. excellent in every way. Highly recommended to anyone lucky enough to be in the area!

What a find! We couldn´t believe our luck... our family of four felt right at home at this fantastic bed and breakfast. The place is big, and spacious, and has lots of nice little details that make it feel like home. It´s also nice and quiet, the beds are comfy, and the rooms have beautiful views of the countryside. This was a great bed and breakfast in the country. After partying in Barcelona it was an excellent way to see the country side and enjoy the beauty of the small towns in this area. I loved the bike path that goes right pass the house. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were very modern with fluffy towels. The... More

On a recent trip to the Costa Brava, in Gerona Spain, we stumbled across a great bed and breakfast in Llagostera. Mas Xifre with just four tastefully decorated rooms was a great find. A beautiful setting right off the bicycle path "Carrilet" that goes from the beach town of Sant Feliu to the volcanic area of Olot. As we were... More
