We couldn't wait to visit Chema's as the website showed really great pictures of the resort. It also seemed like people had a wonderful thing to say about the place, however, our experience wasn't what we expected. We brought our own vehicle and took the barge via DavSam. Everything went smoothly until we reached Samal Island. The first problem was... More

Here's what they got right: 1. Rooms- Big rooms with strong aircon 2. Beach- Beautiful seafront with live coral and fishes 3. Price- Reasonably priced Here's how they can improve: 1. Pillows were too hard, couldn't sleep well 2. Water was too expensive, they charged for every bottle, and they didn't provide and service water in the restaurant 3. They... More

My hubby and I decided spontaneously to go to this resort and spend an overnight. We had stayed here before and didn't mind going again. And once more, it was lovely, especially as this time, we were a couple and, to our pleasant surprise, we were the only guests staying overnight! We were attended to by "Jen" who was very... More

Me and my colleagues stayed here for a night after we attended a convention in Davao City. The rate is a bit high but upon our the arrival, the beautiful cabin just blew me away. Plus, we have a personal butler who is always ready to give us a hand. One of the things I don't like though is that... More

Given a choice between Pearl Farm and Chemas, I'd choose Chemas for the simplicity. You can always rent a boat to go island-hopping and snorkel in the area of Pearl Farm. But if you just want to connect to the ocean, and still see the cityscape at night, just ride the boat for 10minutes (instead of 45mins to Pearl Farm)... More

This is my 2nd time to stay at Chema's. First time was in 2014. Similar to 2 years ago, the place remains to feel like a secret rustic beach resort for those who just want serenity and relaxation away from everything. You can swim in the pool or in the fine sand beach. You can also sit/lie down and relax... More
