An exceptionally Clean and Covid safe property that we cant reccomend highly enough.
Our delayed holiday was well worth the wait. We felt safe and secure from our arrival and the property included lots of extra cleaning materials and hand sanitizer was available at several points in the park.

A peaceful location but within easy access to local towns, Beaches and an amazing farm shop (Alpine Cottages even leave you a Complimentary bag to take shopping!)Less than 15 minute drive to the nearby David Lloyd if you want to keep up with your gym routines !

The cottage was very warm and there was never an issue with hot water - it was always very hot. The beds are comfy, the kitchen was well equipped (lovely view from kitchen sink!), the towels were fluffy Bath sheets , plenty of bedroom furniture to house all your holiday clothes and both bedrooms equipped with TV's and hairdryers!

Curtis and Sally are very friendly knowledgeable hosts and take a lot of care in these strange times for the holiday industry

Our 2nd visit to this site and definitely not our last

We decided to abandon the children and grandchildren and go away for Christmas 2019. We found a cottage which was close to where our friends were staying in a caravan park nearby. We were not disappointed and pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely welcome chat with Curt who showed us to a beautifully decorated cottage which was not only warm and snug, but immaculately clean. The lovely thought of a Christmas tree, a few Christmas decorations, card and a present made us realise what a lovely friendly place we had come to.

The week we stayed was very pleasant indeed. We went out during the day with our friends, then we all came back to our cosy cottage to share an evening meal.

There are only 11 cottages, with a small childrens play area on the green outside. We did notice a crazy golf section here also. The cottages are situated in a convenient location for travelling to lots of interesting places nearby, even in December.

We cannot rate this place highly enough. Thank you Sally, Curt and Helen for your hospitality.

On arrival to alpine park cottages we were greeted by one of the owners who gave us a key to the cottage we were staying in. It had one double bedroom and two twin rooms plus also a nice size bathroom with a toilet and also a separate toilet. The living room area was spacious with two two seater sofas, coffee tables and tv. There was also table and chairs for six and a good size kitchen with all the things you need to knock up a fantastic meal. You can park your car outside the cottage so you don’t have to lug yours cases too far and the cottage over looks a green where children can play on swings, slide and climbing frame. There is a laundry on site so there always plenty of clean clothes for the kids. The owners are very nice people and if you have any problems they are happy to get things sorted ASAP.

We've just returned from a week long stay at Alpine Park Cottages - the biggest thank you to the owners! From initial enquiries to booking then the actual stay, such efficient and personalised service. The accommodation is the best self-catering unit we have ever stayed in, absolutely immaculate and with all the home from home comforts you need. The cottages are set in the most beautifully kept grounds and the location is so central for exploring all the nearby coastal towns. We cannot speak more highly of these lovely, family-run holiday cottages.

You cannot beat staying in your usual cottage in a lovely park. Sally and Curtis have dealt with covid the issue extremley well. we felt very safe. When we opened the cottage door we were met with a wift of perfumed disinfectant. A great confidence booster. Apart from that we had everything we needed for another comfortable and peaceful holiday. Good to see Curtis mowing the grass. He needs a bigger mower though. Lots of rabbits. it really is a superb place for the young and not so young. We look forward to returning.

Always enjoy returning to Alpine Cottages where a warm welcome awaits. An emaculate maintained site, modern clean accommodation, and owners who work hard to ensure your holiday is as trouble free as possible. As bird watchers many good sites within easy reach with opportunity to see some of UK's rarer birds: Cirl Buntings, Dartford Warblers and in summer Nightjars. Have booked for 2023!

I don't think I have ever been as conflicted writing a review for accommodation, if there was a 4 and a half, I would settle for that. But as any holiday maker knows, there is that 'deal breaker' thing that just erks enough to impact a 5 star review. Anyway

We visited in the Summer Hols, 5 of us, 2 adults, 3 children, we stayed in a premium cottage and I have got to say, it was lovely, so well looked after, tidy, clean, good decor. And the facilities were excellent, fully fitted kitchen (which we made use of), including dishwasher, and shower over bath, and a separate WC.
A special mention should also be made about the welcome app, it's very good with some really useful information on there for people new to the area.

The grounds are also very well maintained, very pretty with a children's play area, mini golf course and small football goals. If you have young children, there will definitely be other families there so friendships can be made, our kids were a little on the older side. There is also a launderette on site so you can get those beach towels washed and dried, £3 per wash and £1 per 30 min dry.

So, the reason it's not a 5 star, I am lucky enough to have been travelling for 20 odd years, so seen most hotels, b&b's self catering cottages etc. And what surprised me the most was that there was not a tea bag or coffee granule to be found in an expertly prepared cottage. I see the cottage as a premium accommodation, so would expect in all honesty to have some tea and coffee available to guests, I can stay in a £25 a night Travelodge and get that. So for it not to be available did suprise me. Second, the mini golf course, it's free, which is great, but it needs a bit of a wash down and refresh, It looks a bit tired. Finally, the 9.30 check out time.....it's the earliest I have ever been asked to check out, ever, i understand the reason, to clean the place for the next guests but that is making a you problem, a me problem, the solution is simple, get some help to speed things up. I'll explain the reasoning for my feelings about this. By making the check in so late, and check out so early, it effectively means we lose a day of our holiday, without a base, we can't explore. None the less, I hope we left our cottage in a suitable condition, asking us to leave it clean and tidy and a 9.30 check out grinded a bit.

Moan over, please don't let these comments make you think we didn't enjoy our stay, we really did. It was beautiful, but just a few 'deal breakers' that affected what would have been a 5 star. Oh, and one last thing, dropping off the exit bits on Thursday....that made me sad, we know our holiday is coming to an end, but we still had 2 days left. Maybe hold that off till the Friday?

Would we stay again? Yes we would, and thank you for a warm welcome and a lovely stay for my family in a base that has access to the local attractions and popular towns.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay with us. We appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time here. Regarding the complimentary tea tray, we used to provide one before the pandemic. However, with the evolving dietary preferences and restrictions of our guests, we found that many items were going to waste. To adhere to COVID safety guidelines, we had to remove these trays, and we haven't reintroduced them since. Additionally, COVID brought about several changes, including adjustments to our departure times to ensure thorough cleaning protocols. We continue to maintain these measures diligently. For instance, use antiviral spray on bedding while also ensuring that all crockery is thoroughly sterilized. The well-being of our guests is our top priority. We certainly don’t want to wish your holiday away, but we do get quite a few guests leaving a day early, hence why the departure letter is delivered on a Thursday. Once again, thank you for your feedback, and hopefully you will choose to stay with us on your next visit to Devon. Best Wishes The Mynard Family

We have been visiting Alpine Cottages for over 15 years now and have always had the most wonderful holidays there. The cottages themselves (and we've stayed in most of them) are always spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. We stayed first in 2007 with very young children and chose Alpine for it's safe child friendly quiet plot and we are now with teenagers who still love it there. It is particularly lovely and reassuring to have the super friendly owners Curtis and Sally on site who have that very special talent of being there to welcome and say hello in passing but never encroach on your holiday time. We honestly couldn't recommend it more.

Good Morning; thank you for your question. Alpine Park Cottages is a complex of 11 self catering cottages located in East Devon. Each of our cottages sleep up to a maximum of 4 or 6 people; so we can accommodate 11 people in 2 cottages. East Devon has plenty to do for the families or couples from National Trust properties to Crealy Adventure Park for children. Beaches are within a 7 mile drive. Walks on woodbury common are ideal for guests with a dog. For more details. Full details can be seen on our website - just look for Alpine Park Cottages Exeter.
