Wow, a step back in time. Stayed there last summer, awsome location. The owners were fantastic, even when I broke a plate:-). Definately will return. Very reasonably priced. Loved the chickens or hens freely roaming around.
we had a motor home there last year and was an ideal base for touring around, friendly owners and very good prices too #would definitely book again the surrounding, area is outstanding take your camera, .nice peaceful site ideal for that nice summer evening stargazing
Stayed in the shepherd's hut for 3 nights & it was fantastic! Always wanted to stay in one, certainly lives up to its name, very cosy & the log burner kept us lovely & warm. Short walk to the shower/toilets - yes there are spiders, you're in the countryside, deal with it!! We will definitely stay again!
This was our 1st visit to Cornwall and our 1st staycation, and we can safely say we will be back again. The location of Little Trethvas is perfect for exploring all of Cornwall, we went to several places and all within 1 hours drive St Ives, Mullion Cove, Kynance Bay, Falmouth, Cadgwith Bay, Porthleven and may more. . We stayed in the Cowshed cottage and it was perfect for our needs. We can not recommend this accommodation enough, and Liz and her husband are always on hand to offer advice and have a good chat. We look forward to seeing them next year.
Positives: Cute chickens Great location Negatives: One big noisy group on site, not far from us - lucky us! Constant noise all day, for about 3 days, sounded like a karaoke bar. One of them had even brought along his drum kit!!! Who does that at a 'campsite'??? No-one with any thought for others I would say. Our 'grass pitch' was more of a mud/grassless pitch The toilets & showers could have been alot cleaner and nicer. Next to a noisy road.
