A modern building housing a traditional English pub décor, imported from England from a hotel that had closed down there. We read about this hotel while we were living in England. Fun place to visit with very friendly staff. Lunch was excellent and the portions are large, so you do not need to order an entre' unless you are very... More

We went for dinner at this Inn on a Saturday night which happened to coincide with the Gold Coast Acoustic group holding their monthly(?) jam session in the outside undercover area. Was a great opportunity to go outside and listen to some great free music. We enjoyed our meals. The fish was excellent and the pork belly was ok but... More

Took my Aunty from New Zealand for a long drive to have scones at the fox and Hound Country Inn. The scones are soft and fresh, nothing wrong with the scones, but icing sugar allover the plate like it snowed, and as a result on my clothes. Dust the scone first, then with love put the dusted scone on the... More

Love the outside decor with the Queen her pups and the telephone box. Awesome indoor decor being and English pub. So it's 5 out of 5 before you eat the awesome food. A little pricey but good food. Food does not come out quickly so it's nice not to feel rushed, you can sip on your wine and enjoy the... More

Four of us visited the Fox and Hounds last evening, we’d not been there since our disappointing visit some time ago... New owners have made changes to the better... The car park was FULL.. a good sign perhaps, entering the pub, we announced our arrival to a staff member and were shown to our (booked) table. At first I felt... More

Our family went there on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived a little later than planned to 3/4 packed. The number of wait staff and capacity of the kitchen was clearly under the pump for several hours. The service was friendly albeit slow. Food was OK (Average). The three hours from sitting down to finishing our meal was excessive and just... More

Spur of the moment visit to the old english/irish pub for lunch. We arrived at 1.30 to a sea of cars... obvious it was busy. We went in anyway as a car had just vacated in the pub carpark. Bonus. We went in and found a table. Waitress service so all good. Or so we thought. They were tragically short... More

This is our local so we eat there often especially for the $22 rib night on thursdays. Always a warm pleasant atmosphere...fireplaces in winter and nice dog friendly garden bar in summer. Nice beers on tap too and good hearty English food

Recently enjoyed all the fun and frivolity of Medieval times , at this lovely British inspired Inn. The meal provide was plentiful and tasty true to its Banquet style , meat , chicken and vegetables and a lovely Bread and butter pudding for desert. Entertainment and service was friendly and well served. Lovely atmosphere for an evening meal or Lunchtime... More

Attracted by the front page item in the local rag, I thought I'd imbibe a pint or two to celebrate St George's Day. 4:30, your typical Aussie drinking time. Come along and celebrate, it said. It's a bit of a drive from where I live, so I was crestfallen to be told that the pub was closed for a private... More
