So if you rather stay in an all-inclusive compound, afraid to come out because you never know what these Mexiricans are up to and customs forbid you to bring your beloved AR': fine. But this hotel is fun. It's right at the first entrance gate to Calakmul (there is another one after 20 kilometers), a little hidden in the woods....

Thank you for staying with us and your comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay in this very special area. One needs two nights to be able to see it and to have time to start relaxing. One night is just too short and one misses out on some of the sites that need to be seen by rushing...

I will admit I was a bit wary arriving to this hotel. Some of the reviews complained that the hotel was a bit run down, full prepayment (in dollars) was required and it seemed on the expensive side. I was also worried about the fact that we needed to eat all our meals there and uncertain about the quality of...

Thank you very much for wanting to be nice to the manager. In truth, I could not have said better, and be believed if I wrote this myself. In the end, this is the feeling we try to convey. We want our guests to have a good experience in what I think is a very special area. I am glad...

A lovely location and only a 60km drive along a quiet but pot holed road to the ruins at CLakmul. For a couple of nights stay the on site restaurant is good, but does not tame credit cards, and these is not a ATM machine for miles. Being in the jungle the site has lots of mosquitos, and a wonderful...

We stayed in the hotel for visiting the Calakmul. It's located right next to the entrance of the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve. We got our private bungalow. You are immersed in the jungle as the bungalows have no windows (only screens to keep the bugs out). You have to look out for scorpions as one got into our room. The staff...

The hotel is beautifully situated, just next to the only road that leads to the amazing calakmul reserve (probably the most beautiful ruins we ve seen) The whole idea of the hotel is good : exclusive cabanas in the middle of the jungle.. Yet the place is not up to the standard or the concept : - swimming pool is...

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment in TripAdvisor. Being in the jungle, every day we check the palapas and installations to make sure everything is in good working order, that all window screens and roofs have no holes in them. But it is impossible to be able to see everything and we appreciate when the guests...

I stayed for 1 night at this beautiful hotel in a very unique bungalow which we all loved. The reservations was a breeze, Rubi was very helpful and they were able to accomodate a family of 5. Dinner was delicious and we were helped on finding a guide, Gil, for touring Calakmul ruins the next day. Isabel is very helpful...

After visiting calakmul ruins, this hotel is located very close to the highway and are therefore convenient. We were surprisingly the only guests at the hotel, why we almost got a feeling of arriving to a "ghost town". The staff was friendly but very limited in english however the waiter (did not catch his name) in the restaurant was kind...

We stayed at this property for 7 nights. It's about 50+ miles from the Calakmul ruins, and is actually the closet hotel to the ruins. The accommodations are free-standing casitas, with thatched roofs, screened windows, a ceiling fan, and modern bathroom facilities. The property is set in the jungle, with the birds and animals always around. The property can arrange...

This out of the way jewel is fantastic. We were going to do an over nighter and stayed 3 days. A great place to do day trips, see the sites and come back to paradise. Accommodations are incredible and the proprietor Gary is amazing. Staff and restaurant is an oasis in the middle of nowhere.

I am very happy you enjoyed the whole area. It is too bad that most people stay only one night, rush through and do not get to experience all there is to see around here. Well organized, because of all there is to see on the "circuit" they are doing, people should stay 2 nights at least. And they should...
