The hotel gave us the back room as there were 15 of us. Table beautifully laid out. Food was really good, home made, large portions and perfectly cooked veg. Extra portions of chips were offered too. Great system for calculating everyone's bill made paying easy. Good beer. Great geology room if you like that sort of thing. Would visit again.

My wife and I re-visted this fine hostelry last Sunday. Staff were superb, fiendly and caring without being overbearing; food was beautifully cooked and plenty of it; with the added bonus of the best pint of Rivet Catcher I've tasted in a long time. We had not booked but they managed to get us fitted in without any fuss. Brilliant...

Remote but well worth the trip, with good beers, real fires and a great menu. Sundays can be very busy as people make the pilgrimage for lunch. Friendly staff will usually manage to fit you in somehow.

We had garlic mushrooms to start and Deep fried Brie both where nicely presented and tasted as good as it looked, I had lamb chops which I...

My wife Louise and I are regulars to the Langden Beck Hotel and have been visitng for the past three or four years. It takes over an hour for us to get there, but the distance is meaningless as this pub is simply unequalled. The location in a remote part of upper Teesdale is just beautiful and awe-inspiring. Behind the...
