I reviewed Lindors a little while ago and was hopeful of another enjoyable visit. Sadly it seems to be in decline. Grounds still beautiful and peaceful but the hotel itself needs major investment. The reception staff are friendly although ordering a drink is so awkward and the 'bar' closes at 10.00. Wifi is a joke; a few boosters would make... More

We paid nearly £100 for a room and breakfast at this hotel. We were using it as an stop off to break up our almost 12hr car journey from one side of the country to the other. The house itself is beautiful and so are the gardens but our experience of it was terrible. Our room was bad for the... More

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. Our room was quite small for the price. The bathroom on the other hand was huge. The staff were very pleasant. We stayed there for 2 nights. Breakfast was included in the price of the room.

Had a nice couple of nights in one of the self catered lodges over this weekend. Adequate for our stay - 2 adults, a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Had a nice short walk around the lovely grounds and we used the pool, which was warm and clean. There was also plenty to do within a short... More

Firstly this review is based on an overnight stay in one of the lodges, so I can't comment on the hotel experience. The lodges I would highly recommend! We were only staying one night as a family of three so to avoid the usual 'mummy and daddy sitting in the dark when little one has gone to sleep', I booked... More

The location is wonderful, set amongst beautiful scenery. Other reviewers have mentioned that the hotel is a little faded, the dining room a bit uninspiring and that it is owned by a christian hotel group so a proportion of the guests are there for the prayer meetings they hold. All of which is fair comment but you don't have to... More

Myself and my family stayed here for a few nights. My elderly grandmother had a room in the main hotel whilst myself, aunty, cousin and son stayed in one of the lodges. The hotel is easy to find with a satnav and the car park is ample. The reception area is quite dark but the receptionist was very friendly. The... More

Although it is a beautiful character building in lovely grounds, it could do with a bit of TLC. The lounge areas felt like sitting in an old peoples home, dated and uncomfortable. The hotel is one of the Christian Guild group, which was not advised at the time of booking, this explains the religious items dotted around the hotel and... More
