Host Julie is a Dickensian sort of character. A slightly haughty lady, her house is fine and her room nice, her cats loveable, the location divine, nestled in the Alps, but you'd better be ready for the overwhelming entrenched cigarette smell. Her husband is lovely, as is so often the case, but oh, the smell of fags.....

A wonderful and welcoming setting in a quiet village, the perfect location after a long wedding party! Highly recommended to those who look for a "real" B&B in a genuine family environment with friendly owners going overboard to please their guests. A MUST in this part of France.

We enjoyed 4 nights with Sylvie & Jean-Pierre. The room was clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. The house and rooms are adorned with wonderful family heirlooms. Our hosts made our stay by helping us with walking guide books, an umbrella and being chatty and hospitable (Sylvie spoke English). We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the patio under the trees. There...

We stayed for a whole week at Grange de Julie. What a fantastic and interesting place to stay. The charm of this excellently converted barn with its interesting features was a joy. Our bedroom had some wonderful quilting, and interestingly sewn pictures. The bathroom was all you could wish for with continuous hot water if needed. Breakfast was eaten either...

My wife and 20 year-old son spent 4 very pleasant nights at La Grange de Julie at the end of July. The B&B has been meticulously rebuilt by Jean-Francois, one of the proprietors, using antique timbers and many local materials. His craftsmanship is remarkable and the end result quite stunning. The common areas and the rooms we rented were tastefully...

We experienced 'La Grange de Julie' as an isle of peace and hospitality. With a beautiful view on the landscape around the lake of Annecy everything is there to refresh our urban overexcited minds and to calm our overstretched and rat-raced bodies....The hosts are not only very friendly and empathic but also very well informed about the interesting venues in...

The house is superb and comfortable. It is full of charm and lived in comforts. Sylvie and her husband are helpful and wonderful hosts, rooms are comfortable and have their own bathroom. Location is superb and calm, close to the lake, easy access to Annecy and restaurants. I would strongly recommend La Grange de Julie

Sylvie and Jean-Pierre are kind and helped with dinner reservations. But the bed had some kind of noisy rubber mattress cover -- hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast was coffee, juice, bread and jam; but in the land of baguette and croissant, yesterday's multi-grain loaf and dinner rolls didn't seem like much of a breakfast. Good location on Lake Annecy, away from...

The location of the property is very nice - quiet and in the countryside, close to the lake, with a very pretty garden - but you can probably do better in Annecy. The owner's aren't very friendly, parts of the house smelled of smoke, the breakfast was basic and the room didn't really reflect the €85 per night charge with...
