We stayed in the Star inn on 3rd Oct. It is located in a lovely little village. The room was really lovely ...very clean . There is a large screen tv, comlimentary toilitries and bottled water. The shower was brilliant. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and helpful....

We stayed a night at the Star en route home from Portsmouth - it is a bit difficult to find out in the sticks but worth the effort. The 3 bedrooms are separate from the pub, so very quite. Ours looked over the village cricket pitch and was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We got a friendly welcome from staff...

We went to The Star on a spur of the moment decision for an evening meal. We had not made a reservation but were greeted with a friendly welcome. The main bar is a very welcoming area with a comfy sofa and roaring woodburner, very welcome on a cold April evening. The menu had a great range along with a...

We stopped here for dinner as it was close to where we were staying and looked a pleasant venue as well as having ample parking. When ever we drove past there were always cars in the car park so I took this as a good sign. I made the booking in person a couple of days earlier and informed the...

The rooms are in a separate building a few yards away from the pub and very quiet, clean and comfortable. Wifi is available in the...

A pretty brick built pub on the border of Hampshire and Wiltshire. The garden is delightful with lots of different seating areas and chickens, pot bellied pigs and goats to make friends with. Loved the wooden barrel filled with spoil with chickens taking a dust bath! The bar is traditional and cosy with lots of beams and flagstones. There is...

Have eaten here twice now, and will return for more. A wonderful setting. We did a 4 mile circular walk and then ate lunch. The hosts were so accommodating- they welcomed dogs and children. The first lunch was in summer and we ended the meal by watching a village cricket match on the nearside pitch. The food is lovely fresh veg...

Just arrived back from having a meal with hubby and son. Lamb curry, scampi, sauage with cheesey chips. Three rounds of the most incredible choccy fudge dessert with ice cold cream. My son has never finished a meal, but tonight he demolished every scrap and his pupils were the size of pools as he munched his way through dessert! Hubby...
