Whether you are traveling up from the Kent coastline or driving down from south London, this warm and friendly country pub servers up a delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings. A great halfway house to enjoy a tasty meal in very comfortable surroundings. Ample parking, located just outside the high street . Comprehensive menu and wine list. We will... More

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were super friendly from before we even arrived as we called ahead to pre-book a ticket to get us from Hawkhurst to a wedding venue. Check in was quick and simple. Loved the room right away as the bed was like a ship. It's a very old building so there is hardly... More

Welcoming, friendly, amazing. Fantastic food - imaginative menu, beautifully prepared, delicious and served hot on lovely plates. I recommend the scallops and the full English breakfast (not at the same time !). The bar and the hotel are furnished with eclectic pieces that give it a warm, shabby chic and homely air. The bedroom had the most comfortable king sized... More

We stayed at The Queen's Inn after visiting nearby Bodiam Castle. Check-in was quick and a friendly lady called Lydia showed us to our room. We were in room 3 that overlooks the front of the inn. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. We had our evening meal in the pub and the food was excellent, as was... More

We have just spent two brilliant nights here. It is everything a pub/hotel should be - comfy rooms, great beds, fluffy towels, lots of hot water, excellent food, reasonably priced but interesting wine, wood fire, but above all else friendly and welcoming staff. We loved the little touches too - real milk in a flask in the room, a free... More

Really great staff, accommodated an early check in as we were turning up late in the evening, the brownies in our room were PERFECT, just what we needed after a few drinks! Room was really clean, bed very comfy, really good value, and breakfast was good too, great quality local food, although it would have been nice to have more... More

Eaten twice at The Queens now and had good meals both times. Friendly staff and quirky decor make this a nice place. Portions a little on the small side but good quality. They welcome dogs in the bar which is always a good sign.

We stayed at the queens inn with a party of 8 for a night. We were pleasantly surprised having not been involved in the organisation of the weekend. The pub seems to be in the centre of a small village, there's a Tesco next door if you require anything. The bar had a good selection of beers, wines and snacks.... More

Chosen specifically for its proximity to places I wanted to visit, this hotel was all placed. On arrival, it's a lovely looking building; historical and well presented. The staff were keen and friendly. The room (number 3) was fine. Although small, it was completely functional. As it was road fronting, the traffic noise was obvious and the room must have... More

This is actually a very very nice place but sadly too many things went wrong on my visit. 1) If you are going to call yourself a hotel and not a pub then 10 minutes at the bar waiting to check in is unacceptable. 2) Similarly if you call yourself a hotel, breakfast starting at 9am is way too late!...
