I`ve stayed at the Silverdale twice this year, once with my family and once with a mate, both times staying in one of the two lovely family rooms.

The room was spacious, airy, clean and incredibly comfortable, with loads of little extras that would bump the price up in a lot of places- coffee making machine, fresh coffee and Netflix ! Both times I slept like a log.

The staff are wonderful and very obviously take a real pride in working there.

The food is home cooked beautifully prepared, proper chips, fish cooked to perfection and local produce, like Morcambe Bay Shrimps. You won`t leave hungry, lets put it that way !

My one little gripe, is that they only have a limited range of real ales ( well kept ). But I understand, that you can only stock what you can sell.

When I stayed this time, it was cracking the flags, so spent most of the night in the lovely beer garden and the pub is obviously well used locally.

All in all, both stays this year have been faultless and I can`t wait go back again.

Thanks very much and keep up the good work, during these difficult times.

We had a great 2 nights stay here. Me my husband and sister and brother in law
Between us we had 6 dogs and right from the beginning we was made welcome
You can tell that the proprietors love dogs
The rooms are lovely clean and spacious with everything you need
The breakfast is one of the best we have had in a hotel. Local produce is used
The evening meal was great you could tell quality products have been used in the menu

The log burner was lite and the atmosphere was great just what we all needed

The beach is just a few hundred yards down the road. Great walks over to Arnside

If you are looking for a good local pub with a twist to visit then look up the Woodlands Hotel in Silverdale

Thanks to all the staff at Silverdale Hotel for your hard work

We will definitely be back

Really impressed with the hotel and staff at the Silverdale Hotel. Extremely comfortable bed, fantastic shower and quiet at night, we had no seafront view but looking out over rooftops was quite good as we had no one over looking us and were able to keep the window open.
We had a great breakfast and two evening meals which were both excellent where they couldn’t do enough for us.
We will definitely be back for the accommodation and quiet beaches and landscape.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in room 2 last Tuesday and Wednesday. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. What a fantastic hotel set in beautiful surroundings. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for us albeit always sticking to strict Covid guidelines which we found very reassuring. As well as the breakfasts we had lunch and dinner at the hotel. The food was outstanding, was very tasty, well presented and the quality of the locally sourced ingredients was first class.
Our room was spotless, very well equipped and comfortable and our overall enjoyable experience was a credit to the owners and all their staff.
We have already recommended the Silverdale Hotel to our family and friends.
We will definitely be back for another visit. Many thanks,,,,,,,Colin and Gill.

Wonderful family run hotel and a great pub restaurant. I stayed here twice and I will definitely come again and again. Caroline and Richard are great hosts. While running the hotel smoothly they also make you feel special with their welcoming and friendly manner. Stuff are all lovely and professional. Special thanks go to Shelley and Lea for their warm conversations. I stayed here on my own as I was doing my diving courses but I never felt alone.
Rooms are warm, spacious, comfortable and clean. There is TV and kettle in the room which i found helpful after a long day diving.
Breakfast is huge and dinners are yummy. Dinner menu is so good that it is difficult to choose among delicious dishes. I would particularly recommend the chicken, leek and tarragon pie and also the chickpea and spinach burger.
Last but not least I must admit I was very satisfied with their Covid-19 set up. They are ultimately professional and the restaurant is very nicely spaced - this made me feel very safe during my stay.
I would recommend this place very highly.

We stumbled across Silverdale Hotel yesterday and saw that they were doing take out food. We all had the house burger and chips. The burger came with salad, bacon and cheese and was delicious. The staff were so friendly, answering our questions as we stopped in the car to ask the menu. We were going for a drive and they said if we telephoned with our order they would have it ready in 15 mins, which we did. We took our food to eat on the beach 2 mins drive down the road.
Can't wait for them to open properly, the beer garden looks so lovely.

We often eat at the Silverdale Hotel, and have never been able to fault it.
However we were left feeling extremely uncomfortable with our recent visit, after our meals were slammed down on our table, not even in front of us, literally on the end of the table, not even a smile or 'enjoy'. we had brought friends on this occasion and we felt utterly embarrassed and so shocked by the service. We had booked almost a week in advance too and when we turned up, we were taken to our table where we then got turned around and sat in the back room because somebody else was sat at our table. A real shame.

This was our second time staying here, and hopefully not our last.
The hotel is the perfect bolthole for a few nights away from it all in the beauty of Morecambe Bay.
Special thanks goes to the staff, who were all fantastic, incredibly friendly, and went out of their way to make our trip run smoothly. The food here is especially good - with wonderful, freshly prepared breakfasts a highlight but the food in the pub at lunchtime and in the evenings so good we had no inclination to explore the other (probably excellent!) restaurants and pubs nearby. On a cold, winter's, day I could have spent all day by the fire trying various dishes!
The rooms are simple yet cosy - even during the freezing weather of our stay and the perfect place from which to watch the stormy weather descend onto the village and surrounding countryside. On both this occasion and the previous time we stayed I was impressed with how clean and well presented everything is on the hotel side with great quality bed linens and plenty of fluffy towels and nice toiletries in the bathroom.
Thanks again for a great weekend - we'll surely be back sometime soon.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here today with my family (including a three year old) and first time out for my parents since lockdown. The staff were helpful and friendly, all wearing masks or visors which made us feel very safe. The food was wonderful (lots of pies were eaten at our table!) and very relaxed atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon.

A first class Hotel with good food and great staff. A lovely location and we always return here and are never disappointed in any way. Collette is always on top of her game and the staff are friendly and efficient, cheerful and helpful. We as a family cannot speak too highly of the Silverdale Hotel. The Chefs do an excellent job and provide lovely fresh dishes at reasonable prices, something for everyone vegeterian options and other concerns addressed. Do not hesitate to visit this lovely place and enjoy the food and meet the lovely staff.
