Patty's Barn is a collection of restored self-catering cottages finished to the highest standards. The perfect location for some peace and quiet, or to spend a fun weekend with a group of friends or have a family celebration. These charming barn conversions are all self-contained stone cottages full of character and original features. The kitchens are fully equipped and you’ll find fresh linen, towels, wi-fi, washing facilities etc, everything you need for a perfect stay. You’ll have full private access to the cottage and all the shared areas onsite, including; a play-barn for the little ones, a small gym, and an outdoor dining area that is perfect for al fresco summer parties. There is plenty of space to get out and explore nature with a pond and woodland area just 500 yards from the cottages and acres upon acres of green fields and coastal pathways. We live in a truly wonderful community with friendly people and beautiful landscapes and we hope you’ll enjoy it too.

We had the most wonderful stay in October 2020 - Margaret and her lovely family have literally thought of everything! The cottages are warm and cosy, with fresh bedding and towels. The facilities are truly outstanding-a gym, a laundry room, the most instagrammable games room and a wonderful covered outdoor dining space which becomes magical at night with the festive and fairy lights all around. We have 3 boys and the games room is exceptional- table tennis, pool, air hockey, board games. As soon as they kids got up in the morning they were straight over to play. Margaret was super kind to let us store our bikes in a safe storage area when not in use. We often had a chat with Michelle and her lovely pup and it's so special to hear how they have converted and cared for the buildings over the years. There is cycling and walking routes direct from the front door. And if you are lucky you'll see a few parachutes and sky divers too. So many local restaurants and ice cream parlours nearby- the choice is endless. Also great hillwalking too to suit all ages and capabilities. We have just had a week up north and stayed at Patty’s Barn. The accommodation was great - spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious. It’s quite versatile with stuff for families with young children to. Family own and run the cottages so were on hand to help and advise if anything was needed. Although very rural location it was literally 10 minutes from Lancaster city centre by car. We were easily able to get to other places such as Morecambe and Lytham & St Anne’s as the roads are in good order. If it’s the countryside you’re after, it’s literally outside the front door - lots of beautiful walks and scenery - birds, owls, hares - it’s all going on - including the odd parachutists falling from the sky - amazing😊 All in all would recommend this lovely place for a great outdoors countryside staycation with easy access to other areas.…

Just returned from a weekend break with another family of 4. The owners could not have been more welcoming on arrival. The games room is currently under refurbishment but the owners went out of their way to set it up for our group and make it a fun space to play table tennis and table football. The accommodation itself was perfect. Very spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. We have not visited this area before so it was great watching the parachutes landing in the field next to the house. We enjoyed an early morning run along the coastal path which was easily accessible and we found some lovely walks in the local area. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

We travel all over the uk for work. This was our second year at patty’s Barn. Another brilliant stay. For work or play I highly recommend this place. Clean with loads of space. I even got my wife and children to come down for the weekend. The airfield for the parachute people on site only runs on a Saturday and it’s really cool!

Just back from a 4 night stay at the wonderful Pattys Barn , we were looking for a last minute break for school half term and tumbled upon Pattys Barn . From communications for the booking to arrival and every part of our stay everything was first class . We had cottage 6 which was suitable for 2 adults and 2 children , with the children single beds been in the upstairs gallery landing , and adult double bedroom downstairs. Excellent location to explore the local area , 50 minutes from the lakes , and lots of lovely walks on the doorstep . We were very happy with all the facilities , kids loved the play barn and the surroundings . Barn was great and have everything we needed , including good Wi Fi for the kids . We really enjoyed our stay , and will definitely book again soon and recommend this to our friends and family . Keep up the good work .…
