Really good hearty food! Been a few times now and never once had a problem! Kids food is top notch too! Always busy so we book in advance, dogs are allowed too which is great if passing by on a walk! We love it and will be back!

...about this recommendation! Came for one night whilst seeing family nearby. Great spot - brilliantly refurbished with good food wine cask ale. Rooms very comfy and high standard not noisy. Being run almost as a social enterprise by local entrepreneur - whose next project is converting nearby petrol station. We got out and up Clougha pike the next day -...

We were a group of 10 friends staying overnight on New Years Eve/New Year's Day 2016/17. We booked 5 rooms with dinner bed and breakfast at a fantastic rate. The dinner was a buffet style and therefore we ate waaaayy too much food which was absolutely superb. The rooms have been decorated to an exceptionally high standard and the attention...

The Fleece held a Christmas shopping themed evening and we ate as well. Eight of us sat down to one of the best meals we have had in the Lune Valley. Steak and the fish were brilliant, very good staff and very fast efficient turn around/service. This place has had a lot of TLC recently. Highly recommended.

Staff helpful food is out of this world. I do not know what the fleece is like to stay at as I was only having a meal there and I am already looking forward to my next visit. The inn is in the middle of nowhere, which makes it appealing. Mans best friend is welcome to the pub too. As...

Having had such a lovely meal here in August we decided to return for our annual pre Christmas splurge and again we were not disappointed. As a family of 6 - 3 adults and 3 children - the table was reserved in advance and was in the lovely dining room. Not once were we rushed to get through our meal...

Myself, my husband and 6 friends went for dinner and drinks. Food was lovely and service good. This is a cosy pub with a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend eating here or simply going for a few drinks.
