Amy and Brian were brilliant hosts. Very friendly and service-minded. Very delicious food and beautiful surroundings. Relax in a hammocks, borrow kayaks, canooes and stand up paddleboards for free or try one of the many tours they provide. Highly recommendable - we would love

Dolphin Bay Hideaway is an amazing place to stay. It's a beautiful area, the owners are really friendly and helpful, and the wildlife is abundant. We've seen more dolphins than we could count, birds, sloths, monkeys, frogs and more. The rooms are really nice too and the food is

This was one of the two amazing places we stayed at in Panama. The name Dolphin Bay Hideaway says it all. We were welcomed by Brian and Amy and enjoyed everything about the Hideaway. We loved Amy and her chef's cooking and despite many attempts to find the Quesidella(sp?) that

Our 2.5 week trip to Panama started out with 4 nights at Dolphin Bay Hideaway. While we enjoyed the entire trip, I can definitely say that the lunches we had away from this resort or any of the meals we had on the rest of our Panama trip never measured up to what Amy and her

What more can we say that hasn’t already be said! This eco-resort deserves 10 stars. Dolphin Bay Hideaway was by far our favorite place on our recent trip to Panama. Isla San Cristobal itself was beautiful and this eco-resort was extraordinary. Our hosts Amy and Brian, and the

It was our pleasure to host you here at the Hideaway and we do hope you come to stay with us again. You were so pleasant and generous to everyone here and that is always appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to review us and we are thrilled you consider us "10 stars". New Year's 2019 was one we will remember with really fun guests, spectacular weather, the usual outstanding food and a bit of champagne mixed in. We agree that guests interacting and sharing experiences, perspectives and cultural differences is definitely one of the best aspects of the Hideaway environment. Special thanks for supporting our local school, which benefits our entire community. Until we see you again, many safe and happy travels - Amy and Brian

When is it considered rainy season?
Hello Isaac, The truth is that it is really hard to define exactly the weather for this part of the world. We are supposedly now in the rainy season, that is from November trough usually end of January and again from May until end of August. How ever last year we had a drought in November and December and few years ago it poured for 8 days in February. so really you never know what the weather will do from one day to another. Warm regards, erika

"if you are sensitive to no-see-ums and mosquitoes, I would stay in the main lodge, not in the room on the dock with the open air bathroom."
"Rooms that aren't on the top floor are probably a little bit calmer than those on the top floor."
"upstairs I feel is the best"
"The over-water casita was amazing, but any room at the main building is comfortable as well."
"All the rooms are amazing, but we found the overwater casita (Sunrise Room) to be special."
