We were looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay in South Wales, we found this and more at Plas Farm. We spent a week in Lloc Llo, a stylish, immaculate cottage with super comfortable beds, comfy sofas and a very well equipped kitchen. The terrace looked onto the river Clydach which flowed between us and Bwthyn y Saer where our son and family came to join us for a few nights. Our grandchildren loved their stay and were thrilled to see a Heron swooping down river and under the bridge as we enjoyed supper on the terrace. There is so much to say about Plas Farm and the historic Cilybebyll Estate but there is an excellent website describing the history of this fascinating place. It is of particular interest to us as my husband’s family hail from this area and he’s researching his family tree. The information folder in the cottage is extensive and has everything you need to know regarding places of interest and more. Richard Bowen has written some fascinating books, he certainly has a way with words! These kept us up late on our first night reading the interesting facts and many humorous tales, also some stunning photographs. The excellent road links provide easy access to the Brecon Beacons National Park, the beautiful Gower Peninsular where the clean beaches have to be seen to be believed. Bustling and very popular Mumbles where restaurants and cafes abound, don’t forget to have an ice cream. Thank you Rachel, David and Richard for making our stay so enjoyable and we look forward to returning next month. …
We had 4 nights in LLoc LLo cottage and it was amazing. Sitting having breakfast and evening tea on the patio with the river running past was so relaxing. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and they even had Netflix on the TV. Very friendly family and very polite children. I would recommend this to anyone.
The perfect place to stay to visit South Wales. A welcoming, idyllic location with beautiful walks in a peaceful setting. The property we stayed at was Ty Gambo and it was amazing, well designed, spotlessly clean, modern and everything was thought out make our stay comfortable . I would highly recommend and we will be booking again.
Perfect ... this is the one and only word for the Swansea Valley Holiday Village! We had a cottage with two bedrooms and it was perfectly equipped. All photos which I saw before where exactly like it is. Due to weather reasons we couldn't use our private garden but it must be great during summertime. Don't miss the Plas Farm Trail ! A must while you are there. We will return!
Stayed for 2 nights last weekend as we were attending a concert in Swansea city. The cottage (Lloc Llo) was fabulous, extremely clean, roomy, and had everything we could possibly need (even Netflix on the TV if required!) The comprehensive directory in the room had everything we needed to find out including taxi numbers for us to go to the local village (2miles away). Very peaceful surroundings, very spacious and beautiful little stream running outside the patio doors, only downside was the seating area outside wasn't finished and with the weather being so beautiful, we just had to bring out a few kitchen chairs! Would definitely return here, 5* accommodation and 5* service when we needed more towels, would definitely recommend a visit here!
