We have just returned from our second Staycation at Ballacamaish Farm Cottages and once again, we have not been let down in any way. During this stay, we rented Harvest Cottage, complete with beautiful patio doors leading onto a private garden and similar doors in the main bedroom, looking out onto beautiful views over the local farmland. The decor of the cottage is to a high standard and amenities available make this a home away from home. The peace, tranquility and isolation of the farm and surrounding area means that you simply have no choice, but to relax, breath and appreciate the beauty of the place. Communication with the owner Sara is easy to achieve and any queries before your stay are quickly responded to and Sara will go out of her way to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. We use Staycations at Ballacamaish Farm to get out and about on our e-bikes, for which Sara is happy to provide safe and secure accommodation. We were able to cycle Andreas to the Point of Ayre, Bride, Ballaugh, Kirk Michael and Ramsey and had beautiful lunches and evening meals at Bride Tea Rooms, Sulby Glen Hotel, Milntown and The Grosvenor (booking recommended and some not open on Monday's). We are looking forward to our next respite stay and would recommend anyone to holiday here.…
Great place to stay. Stayed 4 nights in this lovely well equipped cottage. Highly recommended, so quiet and overlooking farm land. We were 2 couples and it was very comfortable. Wonderful base to tour the island and Sarah the owner was very friendly.
Lavender cottage will sleep 4 in comfort. it is quiet and in a perfect location for exploring the north of the island especially if you want to see coastal wildlife and go walking. It is only a short drive to see the rest of the island with Douglas just 30 minutes over the mountain road (part of the TT course). Free wifi and undercover parking was a bonus. The host, Sara, was very helpful and kept the cottage clean with everything we needed in perfect working order. This cottage is perfect to see a picturesque island, with friendly people and plenty of sights with superb cafes and restaurants to enjoy the islands local food.
We had a fantastic 12 night stay @ "Sunset View" beautiful cottage with everything you need for self catering a proper home from home feeling, comfortable bed a choice of showers or a bath and 3 toilets. set on a working farm with fantastic views and walks and Sara is an asolute gem nothing too much trouble. we loved it so much its already booked for next year.
My wife and I stayed at the Harvest Cottage on the Ballacamaish Farm for five weeks in May & June 2019 and we could not be happier! The farm itself has decades of history, it’s easy to find and is in a very tranquil setting away from the main roads in the north of the Isle of Man. Each of the three cottages on the farm are unique in their own respect. Harvest Cottage was pristine, well decorated throughout, had all the amenities any traveler would want including satellite TV and quick Wi-Fi service. Our host (Sara) was very knowledgeable about the island and provided for all of our needs as we experienced the 2019 TT m/c race as well as explored the rest of this island-nation. I would highly recommend this farm stay for anyone who seeks five star pristine lodging with peace and quiet in beautiful rural surrounding. Truly Five Star +!…
A simply fantastic stay in these luxury cottages that have everything you need bar food. I stayed in Lavender for 4 days a self catering holiday the facilities even on a working farm fully justify the star rating. A bit cavernous for one, its a four bed cottage, I would instantly bring my family here for a holiday if staying on the Isle of Man. So pleased sorry to be going home.
Wow! What can I say! The perfect retreat to relax and unwind. Such peaceful and beautiful surroundings and lots to do, especially for the adventurous types. Cycling, beaches, quaint towns and villages..just love exploring... and such lovely cottages to return to. Just love coming back here year after year. Great place, lovely host..always miss it when I've left.
This was our first visit to the Isle of Man, but hopefully not our last! We liked the look of Harvest Cottage online, and it was reasonably priced, so we booked it over a year before our stay. Sara was helpful from the outset, sending us lots of information leaflets, and even enclosing extra copies for our son in Scotland who was joining us midway through the week. When we arrived, she was there to greet us and explain everything so we felt at home immediately. The cottage is perfectly located for a peaceful break, with cattle in the surrounding fields, views of the distant hills, its own patio through French doors, and plenty of parking. The village of Andreas, which has a good little shop with post office and a very nice pub which does food, is only a 5 minute drive away. The cottage is beautifully done, converted from a milking parlour in a sympathetic way that marries traditional features (beams, thick walls etc) with modern comfort. There was plenty of space for 4 of us and the cottage was warm and cosy. There was a wealth of local information which we found really useful and the basics like loo rolls, cooking oil and washing up liquid were provided. Sara even did a load of washing for us midweek which we felt was above and beyond the level of service we would expect! We would definitely return to Harvest Cottage if we can revisit the Island, and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone: it is one of the best cottages we've ever stayed in! …
Although we were walking the entire Isle of Man coastal path, Andreas is far from central, but the property is ideally located for the northern part of the island, and as nowhere is too far on a small island it was almost ideal, however, there is no public transport closer than Andreas and even there it's quite limited by the normally very good standards of public transport on the island. The property is in a good decorative order, well maintained, clean, comfortable and all the usual equipment is supplied in the kitchen area, warm enough even with central heating off, plenty of hot water. As it's a working farm there was no noise at night, far enough from the minor road. Outdoor seats and tables, although we didn't use them, with nice gravel area facing onto fields with young cattle grazing. Sara the proprietor was very helpful with queries after we booked, regarding transport etc, and on a couple of occasions gave us a lift to our walk start points to save us using the car. Good Wi-Fi signal, but we did have a problem initially with mobile connection, it appears although we think of IOM as UK, mobile operators don't !! Certainly one of the better, if not the best, rental property I have used.…
We recently spent a few days at Harvest Cottage on Ballacamaish Farm, Andreas, IOM, it was fabulous and we would recommend it to everyone who wants comfort, peace, quiet and a time to chill. A great place for walkers and bike riders, also a brilliant location for sight seeing. For star gazers it's an ideal spot to view the skies, we were there at the time of the meteor shower, it was amazing!!! . Sara and her mum made us so very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. As we went to do some family research on the farm, Sara was so very helpful with its history and went the extra mile to make sure we had photos and lots of information regarding the farm and surrounding area. The cottage was excellent, spotlessly clean with every thing needed and more, it was extremely comfortable with excellent beds and furnishings. Congratulations to Sara and her mum for such a wonderful and excellent place in such a beautiful part of an amazing Island. We will definitely be back, it was fab.…
