Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A quaint location with donkeys roaming the streets. The Inn's location enables visitors to get the feel of the pretty village. The Inn is lovely and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Our room had basic but modern facilities and the shower room was absolutely fantastic!! The bed was extremely comfortable too. My mother's and my dinner & full cooked breakfasts were delicious. We stayed for 2 nights and would thoroughly recommend Burley Inn. Their website doesn't do them justice, do give them a try. There are a few rooms and they vary. We stayed in room 4 which had a lovely view of the village and the cross. Room 3 looked more spacious which we'll try next time. There was absolutely no noise from the Inn downstairs and our room was overlooking the lovely terrace. The owners

Stumbled across this pub Village after escaping from the way Bournemouth has changed. Had dinner there bar manager im sure he was? Very sweet and friendly staff polite, good food and experience, the only negative that spoilt it was three lads who were VERY loud, don't you just hate it when you come out for a quiet meal and you always get the odd one who feels the need to be loud and you can hear there whole conversation apart from that 4 stars pleasant

We were well looked after by the friendly team who look after this privately operated New Forest village hotel. There are not too many rooms & they all seem to be the same kind of size / style which is complimented by a simple room layout & design with all the basic requirements ..... nothing fancy. We thought the price was reasonable inclusive of the Full English breakfast & found that Burley itself does have a central location for the New Forest area Worth a try

We stayed on the 5th of August for one night. We had 2 beautiful double attic rooms, with en suite shower rooms, and comfortable beds. We had dinner in the restaurant on site, the food was of a high standard, as was the freshly cooked Breakfast the following morning. Friendly staff and a friendly ambiance. The hotel is set in a chocolate box quaint country village. Well worth a visit. The only small criticism would be, better lighting on the stairs leading to the rooms, as I had my elderly Mum with us, who found it quite difficult to see as it was to dark.

We stayed for 2 nights, in a top floor room. The welcome was friendly, and we were shown to our room, up a narrow staircase. The room was very clean, and not too hot considering it was the middle of summer. It was well stocked with bottled water, loads of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. The bathroom was small, but again spotlessly clean. It was very quiet at night, and we didn't hear any sounds from either outside or neighbouring rooms. Only niggle was the lack of headroom. The room was in the eves, and I bumped my head several times on the low ceilings - ended up walking crouched over! I'm only 5'4" so a taller person would probably be better off staying in a 1st floor room. Our deal included a cooked breakfast, which was very good, although we had to wait 30 minutes on

Our weekend break was a present for our Silver Wedding from our sons, as they know Burley is one of my favourite places. The Manager even remembered my son going down to book it for us, a month earlier!! The staff are so friendly. We had Room 3 and were very surprised at how large it was. The breakfasts are very substantia . We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious. We even did a village pub crawl of the three pubs!!

Dropped in on a recent trip through the New Forest. Fantastic range in ales and very friendly staff. Great placement in the centre of town, makes for a pleasurable drink outside in summer - Well recommended!

We loved it here. Relaxing and friendly. Food was excellent and our room was lovely and clean and quiet. We cycled out in the New Forest and visited the Rising Sun but that was too busy and not as welcoming. We will definitely be coming back. Breakfast was lovely and we could not have asked for more. Thank you. Karen and Steve

My family and I have visited this area before on a holiday break, but have always walked past this pub. We tried it on a whim and were really impressed. Food was lovely and service was quick and friendly, would definitely come back again. It's situated in a beautiful setting and we even saw some horses wonder past!
