Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unfriendly, inefficient, dreadful food, no highchair dirty, no social distancing. Had a family seated next to us so close that chairs were touching.Chicken pies were economy frozen food quality with a few veggies all for £11.95 normally! Avoid go anywhere else!

i booked this wonderful hotel for 13 of us. We meet every year for a get together. The staff at The Burley Hotel were amazing. They were so welcoming. Lucy, Marina, Ollie, Bill, Countney and everyone else who made our stay memorable. The bedrooms were spacious and extremely clean. The food was fantastic. Lots of choice and big portions. Its in a very central position for the New Forest, not too far off the motorway and plenty of places to walk. Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone.

We arrived to a friendly welcome from two ladies behind the bar and a roaring fire. We were in room 5, not much of a view except for the roof, but the room was clean with lovely bedding and towels. There was a nice tea/coffee tray with plenty of tea bags, coffee, biscuits and milk. There were two bottles of complimentary water. We ate the set evening meal which was great value at £19.95 for three courses, all cooked to perfection. We intend to return in the summer so that we can walk the trails in better weather.

The Burley Inn provided the buffet for my mother in laws wake yesterday. I would just to say a big thank you for the lovely food that they provided. It was all well presented and plentiful. We had a mixture of hot and cold finger food with a selection of cakes. All members of staff were very helpful

We received a friendly welcome at the Inn and were booked in straight away, in spite of the fact that we were a little early for check in. Our room was on the second floor, it was comfortable but compact. The sloping ceiling proved to be a little bit of a challenge but ok for a night. If we returned I would book a room on the first floor with full height ceilings. The bed was a standard double and was very comfortable. The bathroom was compact but adequate with toiletries and good towels. I loved the tea tray which was well stocked and most appreciated. We had an evening meal in the bar and the dishes ranged from good to excellent, my butterfly prawns with chilli and mango were amazing. We had a freshly cooked breakfast next morning and checkout was as smooth as check in. The

Once again we have had a lovely meal at The Burley Inn. The lamb shank was well cooked and tasty as was the steak. The gingerbread cheesecake was so good! We used to go to the Queens Head, over the road before the refurbishment whenever we were in the New Forest, but now prefer this one. Service as always was quick, the lady with the dark ponytail is always friendly and helpful, (not sure of her name). Will be back again.

Had Chicken and Mushroom Pie as part of a 2/3 part winter offer which made this quite exceptionally good value. The New Forest is a little quieter in January than in the summer throngs but is still beautiful to visit.Had a completely enjoyable meal in the most pleasant surroundings.

Myself, family and dog have just returned from a two night break at The Burley Inn whilst visiting my sister in Bournemouth. All three of our rooms and beds were very comfortable and very clean, the bathrooms having been updated recently I believe. The breakfasts really set you up for the day with cereals, yoghurts, toast and full English which was delicious. As they were closed after breakfast on Christmas Day, the staff put out towels, tea, coffee, milk etc and made sure we were provided for. We all had a lovely break and would like to return in the future. Especially thanks to Lucy and staff for looking after us so well.

We are staying at a holiday cottage in Burley and visited here for tea one evening. Some of the eating area is dog friendly, so we were able to take our border collies. The young man and lady that were serving on Wednesday evening were both extremely friendly, polite and professional. The food was a lot nicer than when we have visited in previous years. I chose the spinach and ricotta cannelloni off the special board which was served with salad a choice of potato. For dessert I was tempted by the ginger cheesecake. Both dishes were lovely and the cannelloni was served good and hot. We were then pleasantly surprised to be told that all desserts came with a free coffee. This is a really nice touch, which is not often found nowadays. The lady also bought us a complimentary

Burley is a popular visiting place in the New Forrest and The Burley Inn appeared to be equally as popular as a place to stay. We found the staff to be very nice and the restaurant food for both breakfast and dinner was acceptable. Unfortunately, one or two items reported to be faulty were not attended to and, unforgivably, the bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Maybe when you're offering some of the best priced accommodation in a popular tourist spot attention to detail and comfort can be overlooked. But, for the price of a single night's stay a set of new pillows and a quality mattress topper would easily solve this. But, as things are (were) this accommodation only warrants an average rating.
