We always enjoy visiting this lovely pub. The food is always well cooked and the manager is so welcoming. The core menu is always supplemented with a range of specials, the atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, our little dog is made as welcome as we are and the beer is well kept.

The rooms were beautifully styled in a very modern yet very old chic and they were extremely clean. Six of us dined there on Christmas Eve and...

Lovely atmosphere including roaring logs on the fire and exceptional engaging service and attention to our every need. Highly recommended if...

My friends also enjoyed their choices. Breakfast, very good too. We were lucky with parking, but there are limited places nearby. Would return.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A 700 year old coaching inn with seven en-suite bedrooms, several with original medieval feature walls and windows. The restaurant serves modern British cuisine and is based on what local seasonal ingredients are available from the farmers and fishermen. There is all day tapas and light snacks and during the winter they serve a sit in or takeaway "soup kitchen" menu. A la carte is available lunch and dinner. The bar serves several local cask ales and ciders, the usual selection of lagers, spirits and wines and has a good top shelf of Scotch and Whiskey. ... more   less
