Applewood Countryside Park is located in the beautiful area of South Norfolk and offers some great facilities to make for a relaxing break in the countryside. The park is adjacent to one of the country's most exciting wildlife attractions, Banham Zoo with over 2,000 animals from around the world, and is ideally situated to explore the many attractions and picturesque landscapes of Norfolk and Suffolk. A quiet, family-friendly caravan park and campsite we cater for touring caravans, motor homes, tents and offer six cosy glamping pods and five luxury Shepherd's Cabins. Our facilities include a Park Reception, spacious pitches, electrical hook-ups and exclusive disabled hook-up points, free WiFi, modern high standard shower and toilet facilities, together with laundry and washing-up facilities. Dogs are also welcome!

Absolutely fantastic campsite. We came home today from a 3 night stay. I have to say that this is the cleanest campsite that we've stayed at. Everytime we used the toilets or showers they were immaculate. It rained heavily whilst we were there so there were muddy footprints in the toilets but the next time I'd visit they'd be all cleaned up! The showers are fantastic, they have the push button but it stays on for a perfect amount of time, very clean and smelt fresh. There were two street food carts on one of our days which were brilliant, we also visited the butchers opposite for fresh filled rolls and cakes which I highly recommend. Also worth noting that when you book you get discount codes for various places, we used ours for the zoo which is literally next door (we could hear the animals overnight which was amazing for our children) also roarr dinosaur adventure and pleasurewood hills. Overall this this is a very well looked after campsite that I can't recommend enough!…

We had a great stay. Very helpful staff, which was handy as we didn’t know the area ! Very clean & tidy. Great facilities. Well organised. Lovely grass and a field for football etc, great for the kids. Discounted zoo tickets too ! Thanks Applewood 😎 We’re hoping to return next year.

Loved it here beautiful surroundings next to the zoo so some of the noises can be interesting especially the howler monkeys Site spotless stayed in a cabin absolutely all you need for a small family Visiting various pop street food vendors every day so no real need to cook of an evening Across the road a convenient store,chip and kebab shop and an amazing butchers Staff ever so helpful and friendly. Fantastic campsite that was a pleasure to stay at. Friendly welcome when we arrived and directed to our pitch which like all the facilities was immaculate. Liked the individual shower cubicles that were a lot roomier than most campsites. A bonus was the takeaway opposite the entrance which does fish and chips,kebabs and pizzas (all tasty) and the butcher's which as well as fabulous meat does breakfast buns to die for. Highly recommend this campsite.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are very fortunate to have superb facilities within a 5 minutes walk and I am pleased that you enjoyed the quality of food offered. The park works closely with the butcher and offer a pre order service for breakfast and BBQ packs that can be so delivered to your pitch free of charge. These outlets are of course in addition to the onsite street food vendors that are on the park during the peak summer holiday period. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Absolutely immaculate park, grass looked like you could play snooker on it. Washrooms & washing up sinks excellent, Street food in the evenings. Only sounds we're from the zoo next door. Shop few mins walk & a chippy. What more do you want.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was so welcoming and very informative about places we could visit in the local area. The lodge we stayed in (honeysuckle) was clean, cozy and perfect for myself, partner and our dog. (They even gave us treats and a comfy bed for our dog.) The surroundings were beautifully maintained and the site was so peaceful. The service we received was outstanding and we would definitely return again.

I came on my own last year for some mental time out. This time came back with friends, oh and 4 dogs!! The meadow is amazing for the dogs to play freely. The grounds are so clean and everything is clearly labelled and well cared for. The site is so close to the local shop, lovely garden centre and the pub and chip shop!! Not to mention it's on the doorstep of the Zoo. Has such a peaceful feel to it, we will definitely be back... ☺️

We have not had a good experience staying in the Couple's Shephards hut. I sent an email to the park manager on 1/10/22 and received a reply on 12/11/2022. Unfortunately, I cant recommend it and wont be using them again. 😞

Thank you so much for your review and previous email, which we did try to contact you about sooner via telephone and left a voicemail before following up with an email. We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your recent stay with us. The deluxe king sized bed in the Couple's Cabin is situated against the wall as it's designed to mimic a traditional Shepherd's Cabin. If we had been advised that this was an issue during your stay, we would have happily offered a change to one of our Family Cabins where access to both sides of the bed is possible. Regarding the point raised on water temperature, the boiler temperature is set in accordance with UK Building Regulations, which we are required to adhere to. So unfortunately we're unable to adjust this any higher for guest safety. Instructions for the heating system are in the Welcome Guide folder which is found on the dining table. Our team would have been more than happy to turn this up for you or show you how to adjust the heating if asked. We really appreciate your feedback and will certainly take your comments onboard.

Very well maintained site with exceptionally clean facilities. Pitches are very large and well spaced with tall hedging between. Staff are very helpful and friendly and check in was quick and simple. We were attending a race meeting at Snetterton which is just 6 miles away so really great for us. Location is also perfect for families right next to the zoo with discounted tickets on offer.
