Holly Lodge Boutique B&B deserves its acclaim for its exceptional service, with staff members providing a warm welcome and meticulous attention to all guest needs including my last minute request for an early breakfast. The B&B has a spotless environment and warm inviting atmosphere created through elegant decor and complimentary treats like mince pies and wine.

Veru luxurious yet reasonably-priced rooms complemented by free breakfast are an absolute treat.

Highly recommended!

We stayed in the 3 cottages next to the main house for 2 nights as our daughter was getting married at Thursford Pavillion the next day.
The accommodation was beautiful with a well stocked welcome tray (including wine, fresh milk and an espresso machine) and lovely smelling toiletries in the bathroom.
The friendly staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us.
The breakfast was top notch and it was cooked freshly for you to your exact requirements.
Our daughter’s make up and hairstylist were able to work in the conservatory and her photographer and wedding coordinator had free rein to come and go as needed.
Definitely recommend for a wedding and also ideal for a mini break surrounded by quiet countryside with lovely walks.
Thank you so much to everyone.

We were looking around the Wells area for a BandB as we are carers and our relative was given respite care at short notice.
Holly Lodge came up on a booking site and the reviews seemed perfect.
We arrived mid afternoon to Mulberry Cottage, one of three 'cottages.' My husband even took photos as he too was impressed, something he never does.
Small touches, the decor all added to a perfect setting for our stay, unfortunately only for one night.
There were plentiful choices of teas and coffee. The only quibble was that we had a pod coffee machine but no pods.
There were bottles of still and sparkling water, white and red white and biscuits- all complimentary.
The bed was comfortable, sheets pristine and little touches like torches and a radio.
Continental breakfast was in the conservatory and we also ordered a cooked breakfast (ordered the night before) at no extra cost. All served beautifully and it was delicious.
The ladies who looked after us for breakfast were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Would we return? Yes, a perfect setting to unwind with beaches and pubs close by.

From picking up our key to leaving the next morning, this was as good a stay as we have ever had in a guesthouse. We stayed in Mistletoe and the room was spotless, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottles of wine and both sparkling and still water to welcome us. The bed was large and comfortable and the dual-basin shower room was almost as large as the bedroom itself. The lack of a wardrobe in the room was not missed as there were plenty of hooks and coat hangers if needed. A nice touch as a torch by the bed should you need a light but don't want to turn the main ones on.
Our room overlooked the immaculate garden, which contained sun loungers, chairs and, should you feel inclined, bikes (and helmets) to borrow for a ride around the quiet countryside roads.
The breakfast was served by two very friendly ladies and the choice of food, both continental and traditional was very good.
Thank you for a wonderful experience, we are already looking for a suitable weekend to return for a longer stay

We booked Holly Lodge due to going racing at Fakenham as it wasn’t that far away. Well what can i say other than what a fabulous little find. This place is beautifully kept on the outside grounds and the inside is just amazing. We stayed in the Ivy room in the main house and the decor is exceptional. The room was spotless and smelled really fresh when you walk in. There was little bottles of wine and cookies alongside the tea/coffee with fresh milk which was a lively little touch. We had the best night sleep as the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with local fresh ingredients which you could really taste the flavours. The lady who could breakfast was so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area without any hesitation. This is a little gem of a place to stay and worth every penny.

The location of Holly Lodge was perfect for us as we were attending an event at Thursford Steam Museum and it was literally 2 mins away. When we arrived, we were staying in the Shepherds Hut and it was exquisite! We had our own private garden, the hut itself was beautiful inside and out and so many thoughtful, tasteful and useful touches. We felt we were living in a luxurious bubble for our one night and only wished we had booked two! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we loved the open kitchen where we could catch up with team for questions and thank yous.

We found this B&B purely by chance when booking the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and it proved to be an absolute gem. We parked our car there before the matinee performsnce and were met and greeted by lovely Rosie. What a welcome - best we’ve ever had and we travel fairly regularly. Country Cottage was our place for the night. There was complimentary Nespresso coffee, small bottles of wine and all the toiletries you’d ever require. The lounge area had games, TV and various snacks which were available for guests. You just had to sign what you’d taken in a book and then pay at checkout. We chose our breakfast the night before and such pretty tables set out in the conservatory/dining room with the names of our respective cottages on them. The buffet part of breakfast was fabulous. Fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and Sue, who had just started that day was great, as were all the ladies. The cooked breakfast was perfect and cooked to your choice (I like crispy bacon!). We will definitely return. Rosie is due to retire at Christmas and it will be well deserved as she has created a great team at Holly Lodge. Thank you all for a great experience.

Just got home after a couple of days at Holly Lodge to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Absolutely beautiful and charming from the moment we pulled in the driveway. We had been given a code for the key we decided to op to stay in the Mulberry Cottage which is absolutely beautiful the quality was outstanding. The bed oh the bed best nights sleep I've had in months. We met one of the Holly Team on arrival who took us over and I actually could not believe out beautiful it all was. So many extras we didn't expect from the wine and a tray of choices of drinks and some lovely biscuits. We absolute loved the bathroom the shower was amazing. One thing we liked to was temperature control in both the main room and the bathroom on the wall. The bedding was perfect and was the pillows too. Loved the Roberts radio hubby ordering one on order as I type. For when the weather is hot there is a Dyson to cool you down. Breakfast was amazing soooooo much choice we opted to just have the Holly Breakfast my goodness it was gorgeous. The lounge is beautiful also noticed a fridge with bottles of drink that you added to the honesty. We just love HL so much and the Holly Team too who are just perfect. So much thought and detail has gone into providing everything this gem and into providing the most wonderful break. I'd give it more than 5 stars. Ideal for Thursford Christmas Show and the Thursford Museum it's literally 5 mins up the road. Perfect base too for surrounding areas. We will definitely be back now we found this hidden gem. We had the most wonderful time.

A little more than we would normally pay for a B&B, Holly Lodge is up there with some of the best places we have stayed.

Although there is no meet and greet, arrival is very straightforward and the place is easy to find.

Very clean and beautifully presented from top to bottom, Rosie and the rest of her amazing domestic team provide a truly wonderful breakfast and morning welcome.

The three of us stayed in Holly and Mistletoe rooms respectively in the main lodge, both are cosy but spacious and are really quiet with good natural light and ventilation.

Holly Lodge is on the doorstep of the Thursford Collection - for which we had free entry vouchers - well worth it!

There are numerous and lovely places to eat within 20 or 30 minutes drive - Blakeney is a very special village down on the coast and should be high on the itinerary for any visitor.
