I stayed at Casa Real for 2 nights with a cycling touring group. Every room was gorgeous with the lower level opening to the quiet courtyard. Newly remodeled and reopened right before my visit. The public areas are beautifully furnished and are historic. The food was excellent and the staff replenished wine and spirits free upon request (not sure if...

We found ourselves staying at the Santa Rita Vineyards for last two nights of bicycle trip through Chile. This extravagant yet old world location was an amazing place to relax, eat fine food and drink superb wine. We walked the gardens, watched a commercial being filmed at the winery and relaxed on the porch with an adorable dog sleeping by...

A most beautiful casa located in a vineyard which produces award-winning wine. Originally built as a gift for his European wife, Casa Real shows it is a labor of love in quality. It’s 16 simple rooms surround one beautiful landscaped courtyard. The grounds include a lake with black-necked swans, a pool, and a lovely chapel. Service in all areas is...

The Casa Real is the original estate house for the Santa Rita winery and is stunning. It's large and yet friendly. The rooms are enormous, very comfortable, with a sitting room area, wide screen TV, large bathroom, comfortable bed with top quality linens etc. Although there is no A/C the temperature in the room was very comfortable because of the...

This is a beautiful place. The gardens are extensive and fascinating. Peace and quiet yet such easy access to Santiago. Excellent wines, good food, perfect place to gently unwind. Would recommend without hesitation.

The tuck away red old villa from the origional founder overlooking the park was a lovely surprise. Hotel room with a 70's look but brilliant old rooms upstairs and one could picture the balls that happen here in the past. Service was wonderfull, the food could be a bit better

Mary Kay has said everything I might have but I do have to say that, contrary to what Lyn says, the rooms on the ground floor were very ample and somehow I even got a very commodious suite, #106. There are terraces, oodles of roses, fountains, flowers, swans and some wonderful old trees. Interesting irrigation ditches throughout the property. Recently...

Casa Real is less than an hour outside Santiago, but it's a world away from the city's urban bustle. The original manor house on the Santa Rita Winery estate, it has an old world charm and elegance and many modern amenities. The rooms are on the small side and a bit plain, but the common rooms are elegant and spacious....

Imagine getting off of a red-eye from Miami in the early morning hours and being whisked away to paradise by way of Chilean wine country. With the mountains as a backdrop, and amidst the early morning fog, a stately looking man opens up a large wooden gate. Just like in a movie, your car drives into the courtyard of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Vina Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by the well-respected businessman Domingo Fernandez Concha. He also commissioned German architect Teodoro Burchard to build his Pompeian-style summer home on the property with a neo-gothic chapel beside it. Two years later the renowned French landscape architect Guillermo Renner designed the 40-hectare park that surrounds the hotel. His sophisticated landscaping also incorporated Italian, French, and English-style sculptures. With 16 guest rooms as well as lounges and dining rooms, this boutique hotel strives to offer the best service to the most demanding guests in a refined, welcoming, and personalized setting reminiscent of that experienced in many of the castles and vineyards in France. Hotel Casa Real is located on the Vina Santa Rita estate. Its late 19th-century Pompeian style has been preserved, making this one of Chile’s unique historic monuments. The hotel has 16 elegant guest rooms, exceptional dining with an ample and diverse selection of our wines, and excellent service—all immersed in an exclusive and absolutely private setting. In addition to enjoying this beautiful hotel, its surroundings, and its cultural and historic heritage, guests can also visit the impressive Andean Museum and choose a range of different activities and winery tours. ... more   less
