I planned on surprising my wife with a short vacation, so I booked the travel and the accommodation was confirmed. When we got to the establishment there was no one there, they were closed and there were signs on the doors saying they are closed until further notice. So we did not even stay over, my question is why was...

rooms are clean and spacious, staff is friendly. The only downside was we were facing the street and the street light went off and on all night and the curtains didn't help, also the small liquid soap is enough for one person not two

What a pleasant surprise! Although it was only a one night stay over we absolutely enjoyed the stay. Staff was friendly, Everything was clean and up to standard. The decor is eye catching. The food in the Dros restaurant is excellent. Everything was well worth the stay.... so much so that we have booked again for next wekend !

The accommodation was neat and tidy with good standard rooms, but the noise at night was horrible - we did not sleep at all. Noise from the restaurant workers cleaning up after hours and in the lodge itself (from guests in the hallway) is just too much at night. The rooms also overlook the restaurant extractors, so if you are...

Was one of our best experiences in the last few years with regards to an overnight stay. Usually we were promised a lot but got low on delivery. This was a pleasant surprise when we got more that we bargained for. Thanks!

Really struggled to find accommodation around the area, but found that Goldfields was quite a convenient email and a phone call away from having the booking made.... Literally the night before actually staying there. Also conveniently joined to the Dros and nearby a shopping centre in case you needed to purchase some items. The room exceeded my expectations of Nigel,...

If you find yourself in the nowhere town of Nigel, a little south of Johannesberg, then you may have little choice but to stay at Goldfields. We certainly couldn't find any other hotel or B&B. The only reason you're likely to be in Nigel is to visit the Marievale Bird Sanctuary, which is a wonderful spot if you're into birdwatching...
