As always a great room, friendly staff who will do as much as they can for you. Nothing is too much trouble. Always accommodating .Great breakfasts, great evening meals, great beer and a regular change of hand pull beers, reasonably priced, room ready early afternoon, good beer garden when the weather is fine, 2 minutes from the beach, easy parking, very dog friendly no wonder I’ve stayed many many times and my first choice accommodation in this area. Excellent.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Excellent indoor and outdoor facilities with well-organised Covid procedures. High standards of cleanliness especially in public areas and this was over an extremely busy weekend period with extra customers due to excellent weather and England football screening. Oneway system through interior works well and table service works smoothly with attentive staff. Creative, well-priced menu and excellent food, the Ham Hock terrine is an exceptional starter, I could have eaten it as a Main dish. Portion size is generous, our extra side dish of Asparagus and Samphire at £3.50 was a delicious meal in itself. We could not fault anything. Breakfast was exceptional too with an inventive choice of freshly cooked full English or Continental options. My choice of smoked salmon, scrambled egg and avocado was a brilliant combination. Breakfast staff were cheery, efficient and attentive, all in all the best start to any day. It’s just a minute’s stroll to the sea front and beautiful, wide, uncrowded beaches await. The walk along the beach to Cromer takes just one pleasurable hour,. There is nothing to dislike about the White Horse or Overstrand. Highly recommended, book early, it’s rightly very popular.

We stayed for three nights are the White Horse pub. Our room was very comfortable with a sea view (over the rooftops). The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We had an excellent breakfast each morning ( shame they ran out of black pudding on our last day!). We had a very enjoyable evening meal mussels, then Venison casserole and sea bass. No room for dessert! The covid restrictions were fine, any thing we wanted replenishing was provided each morning. We would certainly come again.

We ate twice at the White Horse during our recent stay in Overstrand (21st September), good service, delicious venison casserole and salmon, relaxing and welcoming. Wines and beer were both very good.

Expected high standards of cleaning especially with the current situation, however clearly lacking. Dirty stairs, poor cleaning in ensuite, stains on mattress, carpet, and ceiling. Dining areas not cleaned regularly, especially high contact areas such as doors. Breakfast was limited. Only offered one coffee and no juice or cereals offered. Then had to strip the beds ourselves. High price for the service received.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent visit. I apologise if you felt our cleanliness was below standard, i shall pass you comments onto the housekeeping team so we can address the concerns you have raised. Our dining room is cleaned rigorously, tables sanitised after every use, doors are constantly open so staff and customers alike do not have to touch any handles, therefor deceasing all contact to any surface as much as possible. Breakfast staff would have more than happy to provide additional tea or coffee if they were asked. A blackboard in the restaurant displays the cereal and juices we have available, I do apologise if you didn't see it, but again, the staff would have been very accommodating in supplying you with the cereals and juices if this was mentioned. We ask guests to strip the bed linen upon checking out so we can put an extra measure in place to protect our staff. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our staff and guests, all the measures we have put in place is for their protection.
