Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for bite to eat as was staying in area. Food was ok but did feel it was overpriced for what we had but there is not a lot of competition in area. The garden for the kids was a nice touch though and very well maintained.

The Hotel on a quiet road in the village . With parking both on the site and the road . It has obviously been revamped recently throughout . The bar and restaurant area is airy ,spotless . And very comfortable . The rest of the hotel bright clean and very nicely decorated. The room we had was first floor facing the street . It was a comfortable room again refurbished recently . It was bright and very nicely appointed . I have stayed in chain hotels not as nice as this . It was spotless , the shower was the same . The bed was firm and comfortable . No noise from outside and had a good nights sleep. We had a meal,in the hotel excellent food and good value . The breakfast was the same . The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble . I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly stay there again .

Really friendly staff and dog-friendly bar, conservatory and some bedrooms. Food good if a bit expensive. Secure garden. Minutes walk from lovely sandy beach and short drive to Cromer. Good location to travel up and down the coast.

Staying overnight lovely staff and room clean and comfortable. We had a bit of a wait on food but that did not bother us as when arrived was delicious. Good location if you like a walk about a 45 min walk along the beach to Cromer. Best Hotel breakfast I have had in years. All round good value for money!

We hadnt visited Overstrand before, with the exception of Cromer (approx 2 miles away). Situated in a sleepy village beside the Post Office/Store and minutes walk from the sea front, we came for our one night stay a day after we booked. At first we werent sure where to park so we parked down the street adjacent to the hotel which was free of charge however here is a paying carpark round the corner. We grabbed a few drinks at the bar before checking in and also a platter to keep us going till dinner. The staff were friendly throughout and one showed us to our room where we were greeted by a good sized bedroom. It was fairly clean but the bedsheet did have a small stain on, the shower cubicle very small and it couldve benefited with a fan through the hot day however, it was pleasant and we slept fairly well. Breakfast was really filling, a good portion and presented well. We have recommended The White Horse to parents

We have just returned from a long weekend at The White Horse. Our family were staying locally so we invited them (10 in all) to dine with us on a couple of occasions. The hotel was friendly and accommodating and the food excellent. The weather was stormy during our stay but that didn’t dampen our enjoyment of the hotel. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thankyou.
