At Broome Park Hotel and Golf Resort you can relax and rewind in our stunning main house or one of our 6 person woodland lodges. The grade-1 listed building at this elegant resort is a stunning example of 17th century Jacobean architecture. Steeped in history, Broome Park, which boasts a traditional reception lounge ideal for afternoon tea, British-style pub and elegant dining choices serving local classical dishes in a modern way. A private, 18-hole championship length golf course is just one of many sporting attractions to divert your attention before you strike out to discover Kent—the Garden of England—and medieval Canterbury. Our new marquee can hold up to 250 people for weddings and events and our 270 acres of land with the main house and woodland views gives the perfect photo opportunity.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was disappointed that the room was so cold. It had no heating. There were fans placed in the room that were far too small to heat the room size and one of them kept continually tripping the electrics. I was looking forward to having a nice bath, but you are not allowed to run more than a ‘few inches’ of water because the system can’t cope. I didn’t see this advertised at booking at all. Would have said all this on my way out except no one even asked me how my stay was when I checked out. Pretty disappointing for the price.

Stayed in a lodge very spacious, clean and well equipped . Towels in bathroom were lovely and fluffy and the lodge was always warm and cosy. Great location for our visit to Canterbury. Only concern was no blind in en suite bathroom.

We enjoyed the historical splendour of the Grade 1 listed building and lovely parkland setting. The cooked breakfast was very good as well, with a good selection of items available. Our room (Canterbury) was exceptionally large and bed super comfy. Our room was looking very slightly "tired" and we did have a minor plumbing issue. We were told by the Reception personnel that room refurbishment is scheduled for early next year. None of this detracted from our lovely stay. We plan to return next year..

We stayed at Broome Park for my wife's birthday. we had a really excellent stay, such a beautiful setting. everything was well sign posted upon entering the grounds, the Mansion itself is really easy to find. We arrived approximately 5pm, so was very dark but the grounds etc were well lit. The entrance was very grand, with a absolutely huge Christmas tree, we were immediately greeted very warmly by the staff on duty. the booking in process was very quick and the direction to our room were very clear. We stayed in the "Dixwell" room, this is the largest room we have every seen!!! very grand with the extra large bed right in the centre of the room, facing the very large windows looking out to the rear of the mansion and across the grounds. Well stocked with lots of storage space, we thoroughly enjoyed being in the room, after a quick unpacking we headed back down stairs to the cosy bar for a drink, we decided to sit in the large entrance hall/lobby and admire the artwork, décor, xmas tree etc. we did not use the restaurant as we had already eaten before arriving. we returned to our room for showers, the bathroom although small compared to the rest of the room was smart and clean. We then finished our drinks in front of the Large TV before going to bed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast the following morning was really nice, lots to choose from both cooked and continental. Instead of plum or half roasted tomatoes there was a tomato sauce/salsa on top of the mushrooms which was different and interesting. we had originally requested late check out at £10 per hour but after breakfast decided against it and checked out at normal time of 10am. this was a great experience overall the only negatives was that the mansion was very cold but only for the time of year, we had 3 electric heaters in the room but only 2 worked so the room was pretty chilly too. The Thermostat dial on the shower was broken so the temperature was very difficult to control. we reported these issues to the staff , however none of these issues affected our impression of the experience all

We came for a family wedding. The family room in the hotel ,for 4, was amazing. Loads of space, a kitchette, kettle etc. A beautiful lounge area, much more than i was expecting. It was ruined by charging me £30 to drop the bags off! 5 minutes in the room, £30! Harsh!

The drive in is beautiful but the pot holes could be filled. The drive up to the hotel is amazing it's a beautiful building and seems to be kept in perfect condition. You walk through the door and you are in one of the most impressive rooms I stayed. The reception provide a code and you walk up the amazing stairs to your room. The room we had was massive the size of a ground floor house. We went out to eat and returned later and sat in the comfortable sofa and watched some telly. The bathroom had a electric shower with a power mode superb. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy and the pillows .we went to breakfast in the morning which was choice of cereals and fresh frui pastries and fresh coffee and fruit juice a la carte cooked breakfast this was superb . The dining room was spotless and very comfortable. On checking out we noticed a snooker table . We never used the pool . Fully recommend

Good Afternoon Thank you for your kind words, i will be sure to pass them onto our team which will be thrilled to hear this. I can only apologise about the pot holes at the entrance. We are currently fighting an uphill battle where we are trying to fill them as quick as possible however with being on the tailend of the 4 storms we experienced in the previous weeks as soon as we rectify, they just come back. I hope we did not fall short because of this. I look forward to giving you a warm welcome next time you are in the area to visit us Kind Regards,

The suite was huge, extremely clean, really comfortable bed. Food was amazing. Afternoon tea was the best one I’ve had. Staff really looked after us. We stayed in the Kitchener Suite for our 40th wedding anniversary, would definitely recommend this hotel.

The lodge was nice and warm, and was good for a 1-night stay. Plenary of space, it was on the whole pretty good. But it really REALLY needs a deep clan. There were splashes all over the blinds, the o em was a smeary wipe-down type of affair. The wicker chairs in the Hitchens were splashed with god knows what and there was a general stickiness to the tables and worktops. The pendant lights in the kitchen were really thick with dust. I wouldn’t stay here for longer than an overnight - fortunately we weren’t there long enough to use the kitchen and lounge.

When I booked this I thought it seemed cheap going by the images on social media so I suspected something was wrong. I wouldn’t say anything was wrong, it’s just a bit dated but I got over that by receiving a really warm welcome and then being shown to the biggest room ever with a lovely view. The bathroom was 80s (you know the sort, peach fittings, tiny shower) but I got over that. They are clearly spending some money so I imagine things will get better. The bar is nice and cosy but I would avoid the restaurant. It was very very expensive and quite poor even if it was cheaper. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay

Good Afternoon, Thank you for your review I will pass your feedback onto the relevant departments to look into. We are currently waiting to begin phase 2 of our full house rejuvination project which is set to begin in January. This will include renovations to the 2nd floor rooms which as you can agree do need an update from their time share past. The price is subjective to that which we offer Deluxe rates for our rooms already refurbished and standard which are the un refurbished rooms Kind Regards,
